Police horse hears band and challenges guys to dance off in the street

Music is a universal language.

It doesn’t need words to convey a message or feeling.

It would only take a few notes and the right tempo to know what it wants to make us feel; let its rhythm flow through our bodies.

So, if we hear the music, we tend to move with it.

You don’t have to be a great dancer to feel the groove of the music because even the simplest sway of hips or roll of shoulders is already a testament to the influence of music.

And this doesn’t apply to humans only.

New Orleans is one of the states that’s known for its music and dance.

Dubbed “The Big Easy,” people in NOLA know how to have a good time, especially when they bring out the tunes and show their moves.

The state’s motto, “laissez les bon temps rouler,” or “let the good times roll,” shows how laid back the state is. Just imagine New Orleans as the opposite of an ever-bustling New York.

It is a place where there seems to be a party in every corner of every day.

According to Tiqets.com, New Orleans is the “spiritual home” of jazz.

You can hear a mix of African and Caribbean roots mixed with American gospel and even the marching band.

It elicits an emotion of joy and community, so when you’re in New Orleans, expect some music and prepare to dance along with it.

This police horse in New Orleans showed he belongs in the Big Easy.

A group of people was dancing to the beat of the drums and trumpets in this street when this horse noticed the party—playing jazzy beats and dancing to the rhythm.

The police officer riding on top of the horse didn’t mind his little pal taking the lead.

The horse observed what was going on at first.

Seeing how everyone was moving to the music, he slowly joined in.

He initially gave these tiny trots but noticed how his movements were in sync with the beat.

The dancers were delighted to see and took this as an invitation for a friendly dance-off.

So they busted their best moves and saw what else the horse could show them.

You’d be surprised at how enthusiastic he was during his turn!

It seems like his first trots were not enough, so he went on turning ’round and ’round.

And can you see how his tail swayed, too? It’s fantastic how he understood the assignment!

The horse and the dancers took turns, but there was a clear winner for this dance-off: the horse, of course!

The horse continued to dance, combining skips and side steps.

People crowded around them and were thoroughly enjoying what they were witnessing.

It seemed like that horse was basking at this moment as he continued to dance to the music.

The dancers moved near the horse and danced alongside him.

No more dance-off now; just pure fun with this unusual sight.

The dancers loved every minute the horse danced with them, and this four-legged prancer loved all the attention he was getting.

It was all good vibes in that alley – the New Orleans way.
