Police horse gains popularity online after starting street “dance off” with men
New Orleans is located along the Mississippi River in the southeastern region of the U.S. state of Louisiana.
It is famous for its distinctive music, Creole cuisine, unique dialects, and its annual celebrations and festivals.
Most notably, Mardi Gras.
Wherever you are in the city, chances of you seeing wonderful people happily dancing are high.
They pretty much don’t care where they party, may it be in a bar, a club, or on the streets, it’s party everywhere.
If ever you decide to dance with NOLA folks, you better be ready because it could be all day and all night.
But dancing doesn’t exempt animals, does it?
If there is such a terminology called “party people”, then there has to be “party animal” too, right?
It looks like the culture of New Orleans people has been passed along to other creatures than humans.
In one unbelievable video with over a million views, a police officer on a horse decided to watch a group of people dancing on the street.
The lively beat sure was inviting that even a uniformed officer wasn’t able to resist it.
But instead of the police officer stepping down to join the party, an unlikely guest joined the dancing folks instead.
There were no boots involved, just hooves!
Yes, you read that right! Hooves mean it wasn’t the police officer who joined the dance party but the horse instead.
It didn’t take long before the inviting beat and rhythm coming from the live band got into the horse’s senses.
The majestic creature soon accepted the invitation.
The horse danced like a pro.
The police horse pranced from left to right and energetically marched forward and back.
It was an absolute dance craze and everyone watching was having a blast.
After all, it’s not every day that you get to see a dancing horse.
While one might think the horse was just reacting to the loud music, just look at the creature rhythmically moving along with the music.
The timing was perfect.
It’s totally incredible and hard to believe.
If it wasn’t recorded, would you believe it?
Guess what, thankfully, a couple of people from the crowd brought their phones out to record the unbelievable moment.
At some point, it even looked like the horse was having a dance showdown against the guys who were dancing in the middle.
In the latter part of the video, the horse even leaned low and stretched out its legs like it was giving the crowd a bow.
Showmanship all the way.
Was the horse actually trained to dance? Who knows?
However, some people who saw the video online said that the horse was just scared that was why it acted that way.
One YouTube user, however, proved the doubters wrong.
“FYI. All New Orleans horses are trained in sounds, marching bands and crowd noises before hitting the streets. This horse is not scared.”
Another online viewer who appeared to know the horse personally also wrote,
“For the ppl whos saying the horse is scared…. he’s not, he works on bourbon street and is there every night with all kinds of noises and people constantly walking around him. His name is Ace a well-mannered horse.”
See this jazzy horse become the star of the night in the video below!
