If you heard someone screaming “Let me out!” constantly from your neighbor’s home, what would you do?

When a homeowner in Lake Worth Beach, Florida heard endless screaming coming from their neighbor’s home, they thought they were in a horror movie.

At first, the concerned homeowner tried to ignore it, assuming that it was just an argument. But then they listened more intently and heard words among the spine chilling screams: “Let me out! Let me out”

Panicking now, the homeowner knew that they had to call the cops on the neighbor.

They only sort of knew the neighbor, and he had always seemed friendly. But now the homeowner was thinking that a serial killer was living next door.

A large group of cops rushed to the neighborhood. If what the homeowner had said was accurate, then someone was in grave danger.

The cops stopped near the home and listened in just to be sure that the homeowner had not been exaggerating. They heard the screaming for themselves. It sounded like someone was pleading for their life.

The cops knew that they had to act fast. They all got out of their cars and approached the home.

The neighbor was working on his car in the driveway. He didn’t look armed, but the cops approached with caution anyway.

The neighbor looked up and saw the cops. He was confused for a second. And then he realized what was going on. Next, the neighbor did something that the cops weren’t expecting.

The neighbor laughed. He got up happily from his car and called out a name “Rambo!”

All of the cops were confused. But the neighbor walked into the house calmly. He said, “I’ll bring out the screamer to you.”

The neighbor went to his gate and disappeared inside. The cops were still on edge. What if he was going back in to get a weapon?

Then the neighbor walked out carrying something that made all the cops relax. They realized that everything was going to be all right.

It was a bright green and yellow parrot, Rambo.

The neighbor explained that he had taught Rambo to say “Let me out” as a child. When he was a kid, he thought it was funny to make the parrot beg to be free of his cage. He had no way of realizing that it could sound so worrying to others!

The neighbor also made Rambo say hi to the cops.

After a while, the cops thanked the neighbor for being so friendly and went on their way. It must have been the strangest call out any of them had ever had!

Luckily, the neighbor’s home CCTV camera was recording the entire thing.

He thought that the incident was so funny that he uploaded it to YouTube. It soon went viral. In just a couple of weeks, the video has managed to gain almost 2 million views. It also has almost 9,000 likes and 1,300 comments. People have been saying things like this:

It just goes to show that you should never judge a suspected crime scene from its scream!

Of course, the concerned homeowner did nothing wrong. If anyone ever hears someone screaming for their life from a home, they absolutely should call the police. The odds that it’s just a naughty parrot are slim!
