Photos have been circulating online that are warming the hearts of thousands of people across the globe.

There really is nothing more special than the bond between a parent and their child. The love of a parent knows no bounds and many parents would go to the ends of the earth if it meant helping their child. They would gladly and happily put their needs aside for the greater good of their child – and the father in these photos is clearly one of those parents.

The photos were first shared in early September 2019 on a Facebook page called “Philippine Trends and News.” In the pictures, you can see a poor, old man with a younger man, his son, at a department store. The man’s face is weathered and has seen years of hardship.

What makes the photos so extraordinary is that the old man is paying for the shoes with coins he had been saving for years. It was a momentous and special occasion.

The father had been saving up each and every coin he possibly could over the course of a few years just so he could buy his son the pair of shoes he’d been dreaming about. The coins had been gathered in a small box, year after year.

After finally counting out all of the coins at the department store’s cash register, the look of happiness and pride on the man’s face is absolutely touching and priceless. It was obvious that this moment meant a lot to both the man and his son.

The full post was uploaded on Facebook in the Filipino language of Tagalog, however, the translation of the caption that accompanied the photos reads:

“Guys! Let’s make it famous for dad, he bought his child’s shoes that he was saving a few years in the coin bank, while he counts the coins on the counter trail on father’s face, it’s fun and smile because he bought the most hoped for his child shoes , as long as he lives, he will do everything to make his children happy and promote it in a noble way.. Wow! You’re great dad, we salute you may more blessings to come in your life..”

The love this man has for his son is absolutely powerful and everyone who has seen the post was moved by the photos.

The old man now has fans all around the world. Some of the comments people have left on the Facebook post include:

“God bless this man and every other parent who values their child this much and who sacrifices all they can to bring joy to their children. This is love in it’s truest form. Many blessings…” said Lynda Naillon Brusven.

“I’m going to buy the next shoes he needs.. Take care, dad,” offered Mariah Martina.

“You are a ideal [sic] father… God bless you all,” said Ester New.

This dad clearly proves that his love is unconditional and he’d likely save up coins for the next three years to do it all again.
