A priest and a nun spend the night together in a small cabin
Most people are baffled by the vow of chastity, especially when the word “Catholic” is mentioned. This vow, which includes obedience and poverty, is taken by priests and nuns.
A priest is a religious leader who may perform a religion’s sacred rituals.
He is particularly a mediator between humans and one or more deities.
Despite the difficulties to be committed with these vows, there are thousands of these folks all over the world. But whether they are truly practicing chastity is a different story.
Still, with a little digging, you might come across some amazing churchmen and women.
This priest knew exactly how to handle his companion’s “dilemma.”
A priest and a nun are out in the countryside…
A priest and a nun are out in the countryside making visits and doing good deeds. The day wanes and it begins to get dark.
The priest, being the kind father he is, begins to look for a house that can take the two of them in for the night.
Up the road, in the dim light, he sees a small house. As he and his chaste companion draw closer, he sees that it is a small cabin. Possibly used for hunting, he thinks.
He tries the door and finds it unlocked.
Inside, he sees a cot next to one wall and several folded blankets next to another wall.
Being the kind father that he is, he offers the cot to the nun.
After she is situated, he gets a blanket and covers her. He then gets a blanket for himself and settles on the cold, hard floor.
After a few moments, he hears her voice in the dark: “Father, I’m cold.”
The priest gets up, finds another blanket, walks across the small room, and covers her. He then walks back to his side and crawls back under his blanket.
He begins to doze off when he hears the nun’s voice again: “Father, I am still cold.”
The priest again gets up, finds another blanket, walks across to the nun’s cot, and covers her with the blanket.
He returns to his side and gets under his blanket.
He is nearly asleep when he hears the nun again: “Father, I’m still cold.” The priest lays still, thinking.
Finally, he speaks. “Sister, we seem to have a problem,” he says.
“The way I look at this, we have two options. One: I can get up and bring you another blanket, or Two: We can pretend we are married.”
There is a brief pause.
Then the nun speaks: “Ooohh… I think I would like that…”
The priest takes a deep breath. Then speaks: “Very well. Get your own damn blanket.”
Sorry, sister, you’ll have to deal with it.
You have to respect this priest.
A subtle request like that would not be turned down by many men. And, as of late, priests haven’t exactly had a spotless record.
Perhaps, like any guy after a long day’s labor, he just wanted to lie down and sleep.
According to Tara Youngblood, the co-founder and chief scientist at Chili Sleep Systems said:
“Various studies show that 92 to 98 percent of people sleep at different temperatures. Regardless of gender, two different people in a bed are very likely to sleep best at different temperatures.”
No matter what nationality, career, or stage of life, all married couples encounter the same difficulties.
Most marriages will always include the battle over blankets at bedtime!
