Dogs are intelligent animals and we know it. But, sometimes, they still surprise us with their actions.

As far as we know, our pet dogs are known to be man’s best friend and this is because of a lot of reasons. One is their ability to really be connected with their human families. Another reason is the fact that their species is one of the most intelligent in the world.

We have seen tons of dogs who can do amazing tricks, and we also have heard of dogs who have saved the lives of not only their own but of humans, too. Their abilities are astonishing, but we know dogs are nothing short of amazing.

One dog owner has shown the world that dogs are also capable of acting.

Yes, acting may seem easy but if you are not too good at it, you will easily get caught in your pretense. Dogs are known to be too sweet and simple to be acting out, but apparently, they are also able to act to get what they want which is usually the attention of their owner.

According to The Dog Clinic, “Dogs act according to their emotions, instincts, and needs…However, some dogs can learn that certain behaviors – including limping – make it more likely for them to get food, affection, or other positive attention.”

It does seem unbelievable how dogs can act or pretend just to get what they want, but this actually happens and a video uploaded on YouTube by Gerald Wakimoto has proven just that.

Gerald’s dog, Hairy, is seen in the video as he is limping while walking.

It seems that the dog is not in a good condition, and anybody who sees him in his current situation would surely feel sorry for the pup. He is too cute not to fall in love with and his having a limp is just too heartbreaking. However, Gerald knows better when it comes to his beloved doggo.

He takes care of Hairy and he knows he should be in very good condition. He is quite sure that the dog has not sustained any injury and seeing him limping gave him an idea.

“You can’t go for a walk,” Gerald said as heard from the video clip. “Hairy can’t walk like that,” he said further.

The dog can be seen as it continuously walks weirdly, with one paw in the air. He truly looked like he is injured, until Gerald mentioned the walk.

And pfft! It was like magic!

Hairy’s paw fell down and he walked normally, seemingly all recovered and now fully ready for a walk. He wasn’t limping after all and was even running fast while he went around the living room!

Gerald can’t help but laugh at the dog’s obvious pretense and his being able to know the magic words to make him reveal the truth. Clearly, more than 12 million viewers online agree that this clip is hilarious. It has gone totally viral!
