Puppy found abandoned in airport with a heartbreaking note because owner “had no choice”

Being in an abusive relationship is a living hell.

We’re talking about physical and psychological violence. Unfortunately, these types of dangerous situations can also affect animals living in these kinds of homes.

Most of these situations end with the killing of the pet in question.

In fact, the abuser tends to be violent against the animal. After all, the person knows when the other one is emotional attached to the cat or dog.

Fortunately, there are times when the abused pet and person can escape from this nightmare.

This is exactly what happened to a woman and her puppy Chihuahua.

The situation took place at a bathroom at Las Vegas International Airport. Some people were walking when they found the little fella.

Considering that an airport is a big place, they thought the puppy was lost.

In fact, they were going to talk to security personnel to look for its owner.

Right before doing it, they noticed a little note that was near the little Chihuahua.

Once they read it, they knew the situation was not only delicate but also sad.

The owner wrote in the note that the little fella was only 3 months old and that its name was Chewy.

Far from abandoning the dog, the owner explained that it had no other option. She had to run away with her dog from her abusive boyfriend.

Once in the airport, she couldn’t afford to get the puppy in. Given this situation, she put Chewy in a place where she knows people would show up.

“Hi! I’m Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford to get me on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart but she has no other option,” the owner said on the note.

The woman also pointed out that her boyfriend had kicked Chewy.

She explained that the injury was serious and that the dog needed medical attention.

“My boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head he probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much please love and take care of him xoxoxoxo.”

The good part of the story is that a local rescue heard about the situation.

The person decided to take Chewy to Millie’s Dog Rescue CMDR.

At that place, a veterinarian managed to treat the dog’s injury. Also, the rescue decided to post on their Facebook account Chewy’s story.

A couple of weeks later, the little Chihuahua found a forever home with a loving family.

Unfortunately, the person who kicked Chewy is still free.

For this type of violence, people can get between 3 and even 5 years of prison.

However, while the cause for animal rights has grown, there are still plenty of injustices. In fact, many people who should be jailed are free.

Unfortunately, few people report animal cruelty.

After all, the vast majority of dogs and cats that suffer violence are strays living on the street.

Fortunately, the little Chihuahua survived. In fact, the canine friend could even recover from its injuries in the best way possible

Chewy found a new home. With love and care, the puppy could finally leave the trauma behind and live as all pets deserve.
