Snoozy puppy befriends the fluffiest dogs at daycare so she can sleep on them
Brianna Gottfried and her family adopted a pitbull puppy in March 2020.
The puppy was tiny at the time, and, just like any other pup, adorable.
She’s also a cuddler.

At the same time, she was crazy smart.
From the very beginning, she knew that if she needed something or faced a problem, she had to come up with an idea and find a solution all by herself.
It turns out, she’s incredibly clever.
She made her human parents laugh out loud when she came up with a trick so that she didn’t get cold when she wanted to sit down.

As her mom shares in an Instagram post, Edna the puppy had a friend named Darla.
When she felt cold, she used her friend’s tail to sit on in order to warm up.
“This is my friend Darla. When it’s cold outside I like to use her tail as a pillow to sit on so my bum doesn’t get too cold,” the post reads.

As Edna was growing up, she had to go to daycare because her human family was not at home for several hours a day.
At daycare, she had the chance to see and play with other puppies and make friends.
That’s when she had a new idea.
Of course, her idea revolved around how to get a better nap.

You see, after spending the first three or four hours at daycare playing with other dogs, Edna was exhausted.
She definitely needed a nap.
But, how could she claim a good spot to snuggle for a nap when there were so many other four-legged “classmates” wanting the exact same thing at the same time?

As a solution-oriented pup, Edna thought about it and finally came up with nothing but the smartest idea.
She would befriend furry dogs in order to use them as pillows during nap time.
Now, seriously, how intelligent is she?
She picks her “pillow” wisely.
And, while during morning playtime Edna usually plays with all the other dogs, when it’s about nap time, she always picks the ones she believes will make the best pillows for her precious nap time.
It doesn’t really have to be the biggest dog.
Even smaller ones will do, as long as they are comfortable to sleep on.
Do her friends mind Edna napping on their backs? Not really.
They actually seem to like the snuggles and the special kind of interaction they have during those hours.
Indeed, it’s hours that Edna sleeps before her mom goes to pick her up from daycare. And, many a time, it takes more than one person to wake her up.
“When it’s time to go home I always have to peel her off of another dog,” Gottfried shared with The Dodo.
Even today and now that she’s bigger, the 3-year-old dog still enjoys a good old fluffy four-legged pillow to nap on.
Her humans have created an Instagram account for Edna, where they share her adventures with the other members of the family.
