Smart puppy befriends only the fluffiest dogs so she can nap on them at doggy daycare

Not everyone has a sense of personal space, and that goes for dogs. After all, dogs are one of the most affectionate creatures, always craving our love and attention, which we reward with belly rubs, scratches, and cuddles to their doggy delight.

But the sad fact is that we can’t be with our pets all the time.

There are plenty of valid reasons why this is the case: Maybe there’s office work to be done, you need to travel out of state, or perhaps the restaurant you’ll be going with your friends doesn’t allow dogs. Whatever the scenario might be, the best thing to do would be to hire a dog sitter or drop them off at the doggy daycare.

While they might be heartbroken that their owners aren’t around, after enough time, daycare is an excellent opportunity for your dog to play and make new friends, and eventually, they make do with their company.

Edna, a pitbull from Green Bay, Wisconsin, has attended doggy daycare since she was a puppy.

Two of Edna’s greatest passions include playing to the point of exhaustion and napping. Now, most dogs are content with sleeping just about anywhere, especially if their human is nearby. Edna, however, has a personal preference for her napping spots.

After playing, Edna will find a dog whose fur is fluffy enough to nap on comfortably.

Regardless of breed or size, Edna will throw herself to the nearest fellow dog she can find and use their warm, soft fur as a makeshift bed that’s nevertheless cozy. As time went on, Edna grew from a puppy to a heavier eight-month-old dog, yet she still cuddles with her buddies.

However, none of the dogs at daycare mind Edna sleeping on them; as a matter of fact, they enjoy the company.

Edna’s owner, Brianna Gottfried, often has a difficult time picking her up from the daycare. “All the dogs seem to enjoy the snuggling company,” Gottfried said to The Dodo. “Even the tiny wiener dogs.”

“When it’s time to go home, I always have to peel her off another dog,” Gottfried said. When Gottfried shared posts of Edna sleeping, the dreaming dog became a viral sensation across social media, earning the love of animal lovers worldwide.

Dogs are widely known for their simple pleasures. They don’t ask for much except for food, love, and of course, naps. And when a dog is tired enough, they don’t care about where they lie down, and we humans can only empathize.
