Puppy gives hugs and comfort to dying sister during battle with Parvo

Siblings depend on each other when the going gets tough and when life knocks them down, they will be there to help each other out. They are each other’s first best friend.

A brother’s love is beyond measure (so as sister’s love).

Even when the tides really turn against you, you can expect him to be there, just as with this puppy.

A sweet brother puppy refused to leave his dying sister’s side.

Rather, he hugged her endlessly to let her know that matter what, she was never alone.

The pups (a boy and a girl) were brought to the Africano Centre, a veterinary clinic in Cairo, Egypt.

Both of them were diagnosed and fighting against a serious illness called Parvo. Not only is it serious, but it’s also deadly.

The poor pups were in desperate need of help and their lives were definitely on the line.

“Parvo in puppies is caused by the canine parvovirus. This virus is highly contagious and spreads through direct contact with an infected dog or by indirect contact with a contaminated object. Your puppy is exposed to the parvovirus every time he sniffs, licks, or consumes infected feces. Indirect transmission occurs when a person who has recently been exposed to an infected dog touches your puppy, or when a puppy encounters a contaminated object, like a food or water bowl, collars and leashes, and the hands and clothing of people who handle infected dogs,” explains the American Kennel Club.

The vets didn’t give up on either of them.

For the treatment to work, they must show improvements within the first 4-days. Thankfully, the brother pup recovered fast and showed signs that he was getting better.

Sadly, it was the other way around in his sister’s case. There were no signs of improvement coming from the female puppy.

Her brother knew his sister was still sick, so he did what a brother should do.

In a heart-crushing video, the brother puppy snuggled his sister and gave her a hug.

He made sure that his sister didn’t feel alone in her battle. He refused to leave her side and stayed beside her instead.

It was like he was pleading to the vets to save his beloved sister’s life. His actions were beyond pure love.

Do you believe in miracles?

Brother must’ve prayed so hard; with the help of the vets and her brother’s unparalleled love, the sick puppy eventually recovered.

With the amount of help, care, and love given to the puppy siblings, they have fully recovered now.

They are completely free from the dangers of the Parvo disease.

They are now ready to face life and give it a new start. Ready to live a happy and healthy life together.

Their bond as siblings has only gotten stronger because of what they had to survive together. There’s likely nothing that could come between them now, not even Parvo disease.

We can’t wait to see them blossom together into adorable dogs.

It only goes to show that sometimes, love and prayers work more than any other medicine, treatment, or surgery. Especially during these hard times, what we need now more than ever is love and bountiful prayers.
