Puppy has meltdown when he can’t find mom and she has the sweetest response
There isn’t anything more joyful than watching a newborn puppy, especially a whole litter of them.
Their tiny feet, adorable noses and furry tails are guaranteed to relax anyone, even on their most stressful days.
When puppies are born, mommy dogs are extra protective of the little ones. They see to it that they are cared for and safe by showering them with attention. In return, pups feel the most secure when their mom is around.
But what happens when puppies are left alone for a while? A video that has been viewed more than a million times shows that it creates a rather heartwarming scene.
Asleep in their little corner
This litter of puppies are not only cute, they are also lucky. Their humans showed their love and affection by creating a safe space for them. They were given their own corner in the house, complete with a four-sided enclosed area in what appears to be the family’s living room.
While all the other puppies are peacefully sleeping in their makeshift room, one puppy gives a cry.
He is awake and looking for his mom. He senses that she is nowhere near him. As the video progresses, you can hear his whimpers go from tiny crying sounds to wheezing in an almost panic-like state.
When the mom hears the cry, she returns to their family corner to check on her pups. She calmly enters their abode and looks for where the sound is coming from. She looks around and sees there is no emergency.
She discovers who is crying and approaches her little puppy. She gives him a tiny nudge to let him know that she is there.
Mommy decides to lie down
She continues to make sure that everything is fine before deciding to leave him in his spot.
She circles the space for a while to check if all her babies are safe. She then decides to join one group of the sleeping puppies and lies down beside them, perhaps to also take a nap.
Where is mom?
After discovering that his mom has left his side again, the crying puppy turns around to look for her. He turns around and around. He is panicking. As a newborn he probably does not see well. So, he uses his other senses to locate his mom.
He tries to approach her but fumbles while doing so. Mommy dog looks on expectantly as her baby makes an effort to join her.
Mom goes to the puppy
The puppy continues to tussle and turn. He circles and trips. He is struggling. As she observes her little one try so very hard, the mom decides to make things easier. She joins the crying pup and lies close to him. The puppy quickly poses for a meal when he realizes that his mom is beside him.
Everybody joins in
While the pup snuggles his way into his mom, his brothers and sisters wake up. They also want to have a meal. A few gather around and instinctively find their way into their own feeding position.
While all this is happening, their mom sweetly takes care of them. Don’t they all look adorable?
