Puppy runs away then returns home same day with 3rd place ribbon from dog show
Our pet dogs are not just there to entertain us. They are part of the family.
Losing their beloved pups can be stressful and traumatic for pet owners. We treat our dogs like family; finding out they are gone is nothing but a nightmare.
This is what happened to Peter and Paula Crosier from West Sussex in England. The moment they found out that their dog, Bonnie, is nowhere in sight, the couple just could not help but be worried.

Bonnie was a stray in Crete when the couple first saw her.
Peter and Paula felt an instant connection with the pup and decided to adopt her. Since then, the couple would always shower the dog with love, attention, and care.

Bonnie truly found a happy family that would give her the affection she deserved. The couple was happy to have met the sweet dog and everything was perfect, until one day, Bonnie went missing.
The couple realized that Bonnie was nowhere to be found and they panicked.
Peter and Paula told The Argus that Bonnie and another dog named Cleo were having their meal when the dog disappeared. Cleo remained in her place and ate, while Bonnie suddenly moved away from her food bowl and was eventually gone from their sight.
Initially, the couple thought that Bonnie was just roaming around the house so they did not think much of it. It was when peter caught sight of the slightly open gate that he thought that the dog probably got out of the house.
Peter felt fear when he realized that Bonnie might have slipped away from their home.
The man was worried about what he found out that he immediately informed Paula and they promptly alerted the police, shelters, and local vets about their missing dog. They also let their neighbors know that Bonnie has gone missing, so they could inform them in case anybody saw the dog.
Aside from informing everyone they know, the couple also drove around in the hopes of seeing Bonnie in nearby places. They were driving for hours on end, but they still cannot find the pup.
The couple did not want to give up, but they were slowly losing hope. That was until Paula came across a Facebook post that could lead them to their lost dog.
John Wilmer, a dog trainer, was on his way to a dog show in Surrey when he saw Bonnie in the streets.
He asked everyone around if they own the dog, but no one claimed ownership of the pup. He decided to take a photo of Bonnie and shared it on Facebook.
He was with another dog and he meant to bring it to the dog show. He waited for someone to reach out to him about Bonnie, but he was losing time so he decided to bring the pup with him to the dog show.
John had a brilliant idea and that is to register Bonnie for the show.
Surprisingly, the pup even won third place! John did not know Bonnie, but clearly, the dog is one talented pup. After the event, John saw that peter and Paula were trying to reach out to him about Bonnie so he drove to West Sussex and brought the dog to her hoomans.
