Adorable puppy has a sweet tantrum after ocean waves destroy all of his hard work
Young children and, it would seem, puppies as well, like to play in the sand at the beach. And while children like to build sandcastles, puppies usually dig simple holes in the sand. Even then, they are usually proud of their work.
One puppy is getting attention online after he threw a fit when the ocean water dared to fill in the sand hole he had just dug.
A day at the beach
In the video, the puppy, a golden retriever named Agnus, seems to be having a great day at the beach. For many kids, playing in the sand is the best part of going to the beach. That seems to be the case with this pup, as he runs through the sand on the edge of the water.
In the background, you can see the waves getting ever closer.
Agnus plays in the sand
Soon, Agnus is running over to a little project he has been working on, a hole he has dug in the sand. And it looks like he is pretty close to getting it completed.
As he gets down into the hole to dig, viewers can see the water getting ever closer to Agnus and his hole in the sand. Chances are, this isn’t going to end well.
Agnus tries to stop the water
Sure enough, just as he is finishing up the hole, the water comes rushing in. At first, the frustrated pup is left wondering what is exactly going on as he runs back and forth trying to figure out where his hole went.
Then as realization sets in, Agnus decides to throw a hilarious fit.
The water is unrelenting
Agnus even lays in the hole at one point in an attempt to keep the water out, but his attempt doesn’t work, of course. The water keeps coming until, eventually, the hole is a soupy mess. As for Agnus, he continues to bark at the mean water in the hopes of scaring it away. How dare it fill in his hole!
And just like that, Agnus’ hole is gone. Still, Agnus seems to have no lack of enthusiasm. And while most people, and animals, might look at this as a setback, in Agnus’ eyes, it is just an opportunity to do something new, such as dig another hole.
The video has gone viral
After being put up on YouTube, the video has gained over 12.9 million views. Everyone seems to love the little puppy’s enthusiasm, despite his setback. Fortunately, he is still bright and happy at the end of the video.
And chances are that he just went right back and dug another hole, this one maybe a little farther away from the water’s edge.
