What kind of animal wags its tail, barks for attention and showers its owner with love? It turns out that the answer is not just dogs but also ravens.

Floki is a strange yet amazing creature. He’s a raven who lives in Russia. But he acts much more like a dog than a bird.

When Floki was just a baby, Maxim Kryl found him all alone and struggling in the cold. Kryl has a big heart, so he took the bird into his home. He looked up how to best take care of a raven and lovingly tended to the animal. He even made the creature its own nest.

Over the weeks, Floki grew stronger and stronger. Pretty soon, the creature was fully grown and as healthy as any other bird. So Kryl made the decision to set the animal-free.

Floki flew into the air. But pretty soon, the creature flew back down.

Флоки, ко мне😁

He just didn’t want to leave Kyrl. Clearly, the bird thought the man was his father.

Kryl was incredibly happy. He had grown attached to Floki and relished the opportunity to keep him around a little longer. He expected the bird to fly away eventually. But then the creature started acting more and more like a loving pet.

The human father would let his bird child walk in and out of the house at his own leisure. Floki would fly around but always come back inside. And whenever Floki saw Kryl, he would start wagging his tail.

Kryl couldn’t quite believe what he was seeing. So he tested whether or not the bird would do other pet like actions. Amazingly, it turned out that Floki would love being petted and scratched under the chin.

Next, Kryl wondered whether or not he could get the raven to say words like a parrot. Instead, he was shocked when the raven started barking just like a dog.

The owner had no idea what to expect next. He didn’t think it could be possible, but Floki started acting even more like a dog.

The raven soon learned to play fetch with a pencil.

Then, when Kryl bought some toys for Floki, the bird started hiding them away for safekeeping.

After that, Kryl would drag around a ball on a string, and Floki would chase it.

A video of Floki and Kryl’s story then made its way onto Facebook. In no time at all, it went viral. It just three days, it has gained almost one million views. It also has over 51,000 reactions, 12,000 shares and 2,100 comments. People have been saying things like this:

This behavior is clearly amazing. However, in the scientific world, Floki would come as no surprise. Raven intelligence is well-known.

In fact, some scientists consider ravens to be as intelligent as dogs. It’s also a fact that ravens have some of the largest brains in the bird kingdom, along with a high brain cell count.

So could ravens become the new dogs? This video could be enough to convince many people to get one!
