Nature lovers can now cruise through the Redwood Forest on electric railbikes

Relaxation means going on a slower pace, veering away from the typical to-do list, and enjoying the absence of commitments for the day.

Usually, people relax by going on walks, reading, watching movies, painting, or listening to music.

It’s the best way to unwind after a week of hard work or from a daily routine that tends to leave one feeling burned out.

Some prefer taking to the outdoors for that much-needed breather.

There’s outdoor yoga, slow bike rides, picnics at the park, or dog walking.

For the parents, there’s the always-reliable park where they can relax on a bench as their kids play on the playground.

There are really a number of ways you can relax outdoors.

For the adventure-seekers, there’s a unique tourist spot they can head to.

They travel to Fort Bragg, California, for a ride on the Skunk Train.

Why the funny name? Well, when motorcars were first introduced in 1925, people discovered that the gasoline and crude oil in the self-propelled motorcars gave off quite an unpleasant odor.

As for the train itself? It was in 1885 when this historic train took people on a ride through redwood groves over trestle bridges.

Today, passengers get to enjoy the same experience, but they can opt for railbikes, too.

The route which leads to the Noyo River Canyon is as breathtaking as everyone promises.

The bold and adventurous who want to use the two-person electric-assist railbikes get to enjoy the view but with a little more effort.

Now, that may not sound relaxing to you, but exercise does have a way of clearing your head and taking your mind off of the usual chaotic thoughts.

The trips are staggered a few minutes apart to give people time to enjoy the route to themselves.

It’s exercise, quality time, and adventure with a view. That seems like a pretty irresistible package, doesn’t it?

While you’re on the railbikes, you’ll pass more historic stops: South Fork, Ranch, Redwood Lodge, and Grove.

Then, you can take a break and have a picnic at Camp Noyo.

You can even take a dip in the river or go on a calming stroll through the redwoods before calling it a day.

If you feel the journey to be a bit overwhelming, you can choose another excursion that departs from a closer spot, giving you fewer miles to work through.

It’s incredible how well-preserved the beautiful forest is.

That’s because of the efforts of the locals and a number of volunteers.

Because of their commitment, many people get to enjoy the experience of going through the redwoods and taking in the view anytime they need a break from their usual routines.

This experience will shift your perspective on what relaxation means.

It will open your eyes to new places, fun experiences, and new or stronger relationships.

If you’re considering heading somewhere for a change of pace and a break from everything, try visiting Fort Bragg for a one-of-a-kind adventure with a close friend, partner, or family.
