These two adorable rescue cats refuse to stop hugging each other

It can be tough to have multiple pets in the same household.

There are a lot of uncertainties when youâre planning to raise multiple pets. Youâll have to prepare your current pet for another buddy and it isnât always easy.
Animals donât go well with each other all the time. Sometimes they despise each other.

Even if you provide all your pets with grooming, food, and all the facilities, they can still be distant from each other. If you donât take good care of them and their relationship, theyâll never be able to bond.
It is a consuming task to make sure your pets are bonded.

All animals have different behaviors and they react to things differently. They can be conservative towards their owner and might see another pet as a competition. They need all the ownerâs attention!
You need to be extra attentive to how they both react to each other.
But once they bond with each other, no force can separate them.

Two rescue cats from Puerto Rico have a similar story.

Both cats are now inseparable bothers, but their first meeting wasnât pleasant. Jocelyn Tsaih, the owner of both cats, recalls their first meeting as something far from thrilling.
Both were rescued but they werenât adopted at the same time.

The names of both cats are Mori and Louie, and they were adopted at different times. Whenever you consult vets about adopting multiple pets, theyâll recommend adopting someone who is already bonded, like brothers or family members.
This is because adopting a new lifestyle and easily bonding with others is difficult for pets.
Mori and Louie had the same issues when they met each other.

Mori was adopted ahead of Louie. This also means Mori had plenty of time to bond with the family and get used to the lifestyle. Mori was a happy single cat of the family, but as soon as his owner adopted another cat, his lifestyle changed.
Jocelyn Tsaih told to Inside Edition,
âMori was used to being the only cat in the apartment by then, so we knew heâd be territorialâ
Moriâs owner felt that he needed another companion as she had a busy schedule.

Pets need someone to spend time with, they want to play and need companions. Moriâs owner, however, wasnât able to allocate time to play with Mori. She then decided to adopt another cat to keep Mori occupied.
âWhen I moved in with my boyfriend, we both had typical working schedules so we started to feel that Mori could use another companionâ Jocelyn Tsaih to Love Meow.
Mori didnât like Louie when he first met him.

Louie was ecstatic to be joining his new family. He tried to befriend Mori quickly, but Mori rejected it. Jocelyn anticipated the behavior. She knew she had to be careful so that they could bond with each other. Jocelyn decided to separate both the cats for a few weeks and give them some time.
âWe knew it was because he felt threatened so we separated them for two weeks before really letting them interact with each otherâ Jocelyn Tsaih
After a while, Mori opened up a bit, allowing Louie to bond with her.
Mori was initially skeptical of Louie. He had no idea whether Louie was friendly or not. But as soon as Mori decided to open, Louie didnât miss the chance and started to snuggle and play with Mori.
After a few efforts, both became best buddies and they are now buddies for life.

The cats now absolutely love each other. They cuddle all day, follow each other, and enjoy everything together. They didnât like each other when they first met, but now they canât live without each other. They have grown very well with each other and their owner is happy and so are we.
