Man buried in snow films the beautiful moment when rescue dog saves him

A man trapped under the snow captured his rescuer’s face – an adorable dog named Flo.

We all love heartwarming stories about groups who aim to rescue dogs and give them another chance in life but did you know that there are also groups who train dogs to be rescuers?

Dogs can be the best rescuers out there.

A dog’s loyalty and devotion are unmatched. No wonder in times of grave danger, man’s best friend will never abandon you. That’s why we see so many amazing stories about dogs that save their owner’s life.

A group named Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England shared a touching training video two years ago. It was a video of their rescuer, Flo, a beautiful and smart Border collie, who led his team of rescuers to save a man trapped under the winter snow.

The search and rescue group was formed in 1965 by a man named Hamish MacInnes, who saw the great potential of dogs to effectively and efficiently search lost climbers and walkers.

Currently, MRSDE has 26 active rescue dogs, and one of them is our star, Flo.

Dogs are simply the best when it comes to tracking, so they would still do an amazing job tracking lost climbers and walkers even in the deep snow.

Last Feb 20, 2019, the team of Mountain Rescue Search Dogs England posted a video of their training on Twitter that said:

“Ever wondered what it would be like to be buried in snow and found by one of our happy search and rescue dogs? (Video version).”

At first, the attached video clip only shows snow – lots of it. The video was being taken by the man who was trapped. Then we see Flo, the Border collie rescuer, barking and digging through the thick snow, and then in no time, we see a cute snoot.

Flo didn’t stop there. Even if the rescuers would be able to take it from there, the adorable rescuer made sure that she was able to create a hole big enough for the rescue to start.

The clip ends as Flo goes inside the hole she made.

According to her rescuer’s profile, Flo’s MR area is on Peak District, and her favorite thing is “Wubba Kong.”

MRSDE later explained that its goal is to train rescue dogs to effectively and efficiently save lives.

Each rescue dog would even undergo 2-3 years of extensive training until they pass their grading – thus making them a full-fledged canine rescuer.

On their website, MRSDE clarifies that all their rescue dogs are pets of their handlers and are living the best life aside from helping with rescue missions.

“All of our training is undertaken with praise and rewards for the dog. Some are happy to work for their squeaky toy while others prefer food!”

What’s great is that people can donate to MRSDE. This will enable them to put more funds into training and help more dogs be rescuers.
