Rescue kitten sneaks its way into Golden Retriever’s heart

Dogs and cats are known to be natural enemies, but is this really true or just a misconception about them? Let’s all find that out.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Koda was just a tiny kitten when she was rescued and brought to her forever home.

She was just a month old back then and could even fit in her new owner’s palm.

There, she met her unexpected fur sibling, Keelo, a Golden Retriever.

If you’re afraid that the two would not get along, then you are terribly wrong. They clicked in an instant and have been inseparable for the eight months that they have lived together.

We’re not sure if Keelo saw Koda as his own, or if he just simply adored the kitten.

The video is a montage of Keelo and Koda’s moments together for that eight months that they’ve been together under the same roof.

It’s a delight to watch Koda grow and still has that beautiful friendship with Keelo.

This is not the first time that we’ve seen a dog and a cat getting along with each other, but whenever we do, it always makes us smile in awe, right?

Keelo knows that Koda is delicate and tender.

Keelo is aware of the situation, thus he’s making sure that his movements are careful and small. He wouldn’t want to hurt Koda in any way, even if it’s just an accident.

Koda loves to snuggle with Keelo so much, probably because of his thick fur. She loves staying right next to her furry buddy. Whenever she’s beside Keelo, the responsible dog won’t move an inch and will just let the cute kitten wander around his body.

You’re not getting away with me you big doggo!

In the video, Keelo can be seen having his “me time” on a higher surface, away from Koda, and out of her reach.

The playful kitten wouldn’t just give him a break, though. It’s like she’s telling him,

“So you think you can do things now without me? Nah ah!”

She tries to jump as high as she can to reach the peacefully resting dog, but she is just too tiny to get to him. We think Keelo wins this time and he can rest for as long as he wants, or, at least for as long as he’s up there.

Growing up but not growing old!

The next part of the video shows a bigger version of Koda, well, yes, that’s her. Though she has already grown bigger, her playful side is still there.

She still wants to play with her big brother, Keelo.

While Keelo, being the older family pet, loves to have more nap time – his feline housemate won’t just let him have it. Koda will do everything to keep him awake.

It’s like Koda’s telling him, “play with me, play with me, play with me,” while Keelo’s saying, “No! I want to sleep! I’m too old to play. Get away from me!”

The video does another time skip, however, it’s still the same Koda and Keelo!

In the latter part of the video, we can see that Koda has grown a lot bigger (not totally grown though). She may have aged a bit, but her positive character about being playful is still there.

Just like before, she still wants nothing but to play with her big furry brother.

At long last, Koda’s stubbornness works, now Keelo wants to play!

The persistent feline wins this time – her dog friend has finally accepted her invitation for a playtime.

They would play here and there, and when they got tired, they would sleep still right next to each other.

Their fun time becomes regular because there’s no longer a need for Koda to bug Keelo.

He would sometimes initiate it first himself. They play, eat, and sleep together. We can’t think of something that they wouldn’t do together.

Looks like nothing and nobody will ever set these two apart!
