Rescue team saves 150 neglected German shepherds and helps them find a forever home
Dogs are just like human beings. They need love and affection. May it be through petting them or adopting stray dogs. They are as human as any other creature in the world.
That’s why a group of rescuers saved over 150 German shepherds to give them a forever home.
Living in dire conditions is no joke. These sweet little animals have to endure the harsh conditions of living in a small, muddy pen without the love and comfort of a human being.
Thankfully, they were rescued by these kind-hearted souls.
For the first time in their lives. they are able to receive the love and care they deserve. The rescuers were astounded at the kind of enclosures they were kept in. There were over 150 of them living in small enclosed spaces that it was hard for them to be given the amount of attention they need.
Every time a rescuer walk pass them, they would curiously push their snouts over the bars. but the most distinct feature among all of them were the sadness in their eyes. It was nauseating and haunting for the rescuers who saw these poor dogs’ condition.
They quickly got to work and loaded the dogs into a van where they will be transported to a shelter.
One of the dogs was Beetle.
Beetle is a shy yet loving German shepherd. Upon arrival in the shelter, he was given the medical help he needs. He was also given a bath, food, and shelter. However, he was still a little bit afraid.
He wasn’t the only one who was having a hard time adjusting to his new home. The other dogs were afraid too. To help ease their worries, rescuers and volunteers would go in their kennel and spend time with them.
Rescuers show Beetle and his friends that it’s okay to relax and be with a human being.
They would constantly pet Beetle, play with them, or simply sit beside them. They want to tell these sweet German shepherds that humans aren’t going to hurt them. They are safe, free, and loved.
It was amazing to see Beetle slowly open up to the rescuer.
At first, he was shy when approaching her. He would bow his head and shyly walk towards her. In a few minutes, he would slowly open up to her to the point he deemed her as trustworthy.
Over the span of a few days, Beetle was able to open up to the rescuers and volunteers.
He would wag his tail to signal his approval and trust. Eventually, he was adopted by a loving couple named Donald and Julie. They gave him a new name which is Teddy and he has a sister called Maggie.
Donald shared how proud he was of Teddy’s progress. From a shy and scared dog to a happy and loving pet. It was amazing to see the changes in Teddy’s life.
