Camera notifies home owner of UPS driver but then watches him collapse at front door

It all started with Amazon delivery drivers peeing in bottles, and now UPS drivers are either dying in their trucks or collapsing on people’s front porches due to the heat.

This inhumane treatment has got to stop!

There’s a heatwave rolling out across the country this summer, and UPS isn’t delivering when it comes to taking care of its drivers.

One unlucky UPS delivery man in Arizona discovered just how little the company cared for his well-being after footage of him collapsing on a customer’s porch has gone viral.

Thankfully the people of the Internet have got his back and are demanding that UPS change its policies!

When homeowner Brian Enriquez reviewed his Ring camera, he was absolutely shaken at what he saw. An exhausted driver can be seen swaggering and swaying, almost as if he were drunk, as he walks towards the front door.

Then he suddenly keels over and falls onto the concrete!

After resting for a few seconds, the man gets back up to finish the job. Brian can’t tell if the driver is having a mini-stroke from the heat, but his hands are shaking and he seems slightly confused as he reaches out to ring the doorbell.

He feels bad that he wasn’t available at the time, but he shared the video online to show just how dangerous their working conditions are on a day-to-day basis.

We’re always hearing stories about how bad FedEx, UPS, or the postal service are mishandling our packages.

But the tables have turned and now the actual drivers are the ones who are getting kicked to the curb and tossed around like yesterday’s garbage.

Just a few weeks ago in June, Esteban Chavez was found unconscious in his UPS truck in Pasadena, California. He later passed away, and his parents suspect it was due to the heat. He had just celebrated his 24th birthday.

Unfortunately, demands for air-conditioned trucks are falling on deaf ears. According to Inside Edition, the company’s official line points to the logistics being the issue.

“Our package delivery vehicles make frequent stops, making air conditioning ineffective.”

Ironically, the very day the Arizona delivery man was falling down on the job, USPS reps were describing how all mail carriers in Arizona face risks due to high heat in a hearing hosted by Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.

Inside Edition decided to put the driver’s working conditions to the test. They rented a UPS truck and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours. While a thermometer measured the outside temperature at 95 degrees, inside “The Box” the heat shot up to 120 degrees!

UPS said in an official statement that “UPS drivers are trained to work outdoors and for the effects of hot weather. Our employee used his training to be aware of his situation and contacted his manager, who immediately provided assistance. We never want our employees to continue working to the point that they risk their health or work in an unsafe manner.”

UPS drivers on TikTok are sounding off against the heat. And even Reddit’s /r/antiwork is weighing in on the corporate world’s status quo.

A communication from a different delivery driver says they should hold off being sick or dehydrated until their shift was over.

“I work for USPS. Corporate likes to send out messages almost every day to carriers. This was the message today.”
