Fireworks are spectacular sights. Their bright glow and the heart-stopping images they make as they light up the sky are marvelous and definitely an experience to look forward to.

But, not all creatures are fond of the sounds that fireworks make.

Animals, for example, are too sensitive to loud sounds to appreciate the beauty of fireworks.

Fireworks are one of the reasons why pets can get anxious. The loud sound they create is too powerful for our pets’ ears, which stresses them out when everyone else is having such a good time.

During occasions such as New Year’s Eve or Fourth of July when firework displays are popular around the country, pets everywhere become highly agitated and wish that the festivities and loud sounds would soon end.

One puppy named Rajah and her fur parents encountered something similar.

It was not even the fourth of July when fireworks started to go off in the South Carolina community where Rajah and her family live. The town was excited about the upcoming event, but the pup was not having such a great time.

The deafening sound of fireworks popping scared the poor lab-Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. She got so frightened that she ran away as fast as she could when the fireworks went off.

Mary Lynn Whitacre and Ryan Washick, Rajah’s fur parents, attempted to bring her back and ran after the pup, but they failed.

For the next hours, Mary Lynn and Ryan did everything they could to find the missing dog. They searched and searched and found nothing.

To help them in their search for their pup, the couple took to Facebook and posted about their search for Rajah. Mary Lynn wrote that the dog might just be around the nearby areas and asked for people online to help them in locating her.

The couple also shared that Rajah had a microchip and that their phone number was on her tag.

Mary Lynn and Ryan went on to search further and drove around just in case Rajah was just walking by. The night was tiring and exhausted as they are, the two of them decided to stop for the time being and continue their search the next day.

They were hoping to find Rajah the following day. However, the dog had other plans.

At 3 AM the following day, someone unexpectedly arrived at their doorstep. The guest was familiar with where the doorbell was and even positioned herself right next to it.

A few moments later, the guest pressed the doorbell and made sure everyone in the house knew she was there. It was Rajah and she came home on her own, back to her fur parents.

The doorbell ring camera showed the dog’s familiar face and the couple could not contain their happiness after seeing that their girl came back alive and by herself. Rajah was there and she was determined to wake everyone up inside the house.

When the couple went to open the door, Rajah was there at the front door, quiet and sad.

She looked like she was sulking and feeling sorry for her misbehavior. Mary Lynn and Ryan were not mad at all. All they felt was gladness because their adorable pup has returned.

What was surprising was that Rajah knew how to ring the doorbell when they never taught her to do it. They found it quite amazing and they were thankful that Rajah paid attention.

As it turned out, Rajah was stressed because of the noise made by the fireworks.

Animals are highly sensitive to sound and this made Rajah feel uncomfortable and afraid when she heard fireworks go off that day. It was an important lesson learned by the couple.
