Man gets security alert while traveling – his girlfriend and dog were having a sweet dance-off
Whenever you leave the home, owners are forced to take a wild guess on what their pets are doing while all alone. It turns out that some four-footers can be a lot more mischievous when daddy or mommy isn’t around, or you could find them playing around in your bed where they’re not really allowed to go.
Of course, some dogs are just good pups, but a pet camera will likely produce some great footage, just like this man found out.
Jose Perez is out of the home regularly for work and decided to use a security camera in order to keep an eye on his dog.
That way, he could always get a peek at what his footer Nina was doing.
The man had to leave on a business trip and wouldn’t be home for a few days, and he was simply curious to see what Nina was up to.
Aside from checking the camera whenever he wants, the security system he set up automatically sends him a notification whenever there is movement detected after midnight. When he was in a hotel room and got an “intruder alert” notification one day, he decided to see what was going on.
“I got an intruder notification while I was away, getting ready to sleep,” the man said to The Dodo.
He took out his phone to see the live stream of his security camera, but he never expected to see such an amazing and warm moment.
He spotted his adorable pup Nina along with his girlfriend, and they were just having a ton of fun together. The two of them were busting out some moves and having themselves their own private dance party! Jose absolutely loved seeing these two in action.
“It made my night, for sure,” he said. “They are very close and are always together. Nina gets very happy every time my girlfriend arrives home. Way more happy than when I arrive. Nina is like a daughter to us.”
Nest, a smart home brand owned by Google, shared a bunch of videos of other pets ‘caught’ on camera after this story.
The Nest cameras are popular surveillance systems, and they’ve gotten some footage from owners showing some surprising animal behavior.
For example, there’s a video of a pup who gets a little bit overenthusiastic as he rips apart some couch pillows. Or how about pups hilariously trying to get over a doggie gate?
“Big or small, grumpy or sleepy, we can’t seem to get enough of our pets, and now with wireless security cameras we can keep an eye on not just our homes and family when we’re away – but also our furry friends,” Lionel Paillet, general manager of Nest Europe said.
They even implemented a new feature that allows owners to “drop in” on their pets when they’re away from home and talk to them.
The new feature called ‘Talk and Listen’ is actually a widely used feature for Nest homeowners who have pets. Your pets can hear your voice even when you’re not there, which is ideal if they’re a bit lonely or need to be reprimanded.
In any case – it’s always a joy to see what four-footers are up to whenever their owners are out of the house!
