Dogs are truly a man’s best friend in more ways than one: they’re absolutely loyal, affectionate, will always comfort you when you’re feeling sad, bring a smile to your face and love to go on all kinds of adventures with their owners. However, this dog is also a man’s best friend during household tasks such as the laundry.

Jonsi is a very good dog and deserves all the treats he can get.

When this adorable four-footer noticed that his owner, who was carrying laundry upstairs, dropped something – he decided to help out. Luckily, his human dad Trey Foote installed a camera inside of the house to check on his beloved pooch whenever he’s gone from home, and the camera managed to capture this absolutely adorable moment.

One day, Trey grabbed a stash of clothes to put in the washing machine on the floor above.

The man dropped a single sock, but he figured that he would drop everything else if he tried to pick it up.

So Trey figured he’d try and ask the unthinkable – he asked Jonsi if he wanted to help.

“My thought in that moment was well, if I try to pick up this one sock, I may drop it all,” the proud owner said to The Dodo. “So I asked my main dude to lend a paw.”

As for Jonsi, we can see that he just jumped into the sofa and settled into a nice and comfortable position. He saw his owner carrying the laundry upstairs, and also seemed to notice that he was struggling with getting all of the clothes above.

The four-footer saw him struggle and figured that he probably should help out, even if it took him a couple of seconds to actually jump out of the sofa. He looked very comfortable, so it’s not hard to see why there was a slight hesitation.

Much to the man’s surprise, Jonsi then actually gets out of his sofa, picks up the sock and heads upstairs!

The man was simply sorting out the clothes that he already brought upstairs, and was surprised to see his four-footer with the lost sock in his mouth. Jonsi then handed it to him; these two clearly make an excellent laundry team.

“Oh oh my god he did it,” the man shouted in excitement.

“I was just absolutely shocked! He nudged it toward me and hopped up on the bed and went to sleep.”

The owners posted the video of Jonsi helping out on social media, where it quickly went viral around the world.

“It’s so special that so many other people see what we see in him!” he concluded. “It did teach me that our pups are always listening as well as thinking about what we say and do.”
