Sisters clog their way to duo Grand Championships with their catching routine
Clog dancing or clogging, is the official state dance of Kentucky and North Carolina.
Clogging is a type of folk dance in the United States wherein the dancers use tough, wooden-soled clogs to percussively hit the floor using the heel, the toe, or both.
The main goal of clogging is to create audible rhythms, usually to the downbeat with the heel keeping the rhythm.
These girls are pros at it.
With the dance rooting back to the 18th century, you wouldn’t expect the young generation to be practicing such type of dance, would you?
However, with the dance’s unceasing popularity particularly in Kentucky, these sisters will prove to us all that clogging will never get old, let alone be forgotten.

Back in 2012, Lauren and Kaylee made an appearance on the Nickelodeon game show Figure It Out.
In 2018, the sisters brought their impeccable talent to a 2018 episode of The Gong Show with an act called “The Terror Tap Twins.”
When you see them entering the stage, you’d immediately know it’s going to be an amazing one.
They came to entertain.
If you haven’t seen the sisters’ duo in action then this is your chance to witness how talented they truly are on the dance floor.
Lauren and Kaylee start off their routine with their backs to the crowd, donning the same dress, same hairstyle, same footwear, one might think they are twins.
They are actually not twins.
Kaylee is the older sister of the pair and they have several years between them.
As soon as the twangy country music begins playing, the two also begin bouncing and kicking to the lively beat.
They immediately showed everyone why they are a pair worth being afraid of in such dance competitions like the CCA.
They have every step down.
The Clogging Champions of America (CCA) is a competition for performers of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
The group was founded in 1997 with the desire of creating more interest and activity in the style of dance and competing.
It’s also a way for them to promote “fun and fellowship.” CCA is making sure that beginners are enjoying clogging competitions as much as those in the advanced category.
“The goal of CCA is to create an atmosphere of spirited and sportsmanlike competition, and to provide more opportunities for cloggers within the competitive and entertainment realms,” they wrote on their website.
Things get fast and heated.
Lauren and Kaylee managed to match the fast-paced beat and lively rhythm of country music.
The two join hands together and start wowing the audience with their clog-dancing prowess.
The sisters are perfectly in sync with the music and with each other, they are one in motion and it almost looks like they are shadowing each other.
They are not just packed with talent but also with unceasing energy and a positive aura.
Just look at them smiling all throughout their performance, they obviously love what they’re doing.
