Sneaky dog runs off to neighbor’s every day and gives mom attitude when she comes to get her

If you’ll go and visit Brittany Young’s self-titled Youtube channel, you will see that her videos are mostly her vocal performances. However, her biggest hit, by far, is that of her dog, Daisy May.

It’s been 7 years since it was uploaded and as of this writing, it already has more than 2.2 million views, 45k likes, and more than 4k comments.

You might be wondering how this dog’s video became viral? Let’s all find that out.

As you may all see, Daisy May is a dog with an attitude.

This adorable lady boxer isn’t afraid to show her frustration whenever things don’t go as she planned. This dog really has some nerve!

Young and her family must be living far because they need a car to go pick her up whenever she runs away from home. And driving back home is not a joke- it’s a tedious job to do every day.

Although their family is not quite sure who is she visiting on that side of the area, all we see in the video when mom goes to pick her up is a horse.

Come to think of it, if their pooch is really friends with a pony, wouldn’t that be quite a story?

Once mom finds Daisy May, it’s time to deal with the attitude.

Young commands Daisy May to go inside the car, and as the dog jumps in, she lets out some grunts and snarfs to let mom know that she’s frustrated.

She is also yawning a lot during their trip, which most likely means that she’s tired from having too much fun, or is even a little nervous about getting into some trouble. But we’re guessing it’s the former.

Good thing mom knows how to handle the situation- calmly explaining that it’s simply not her house.

The family also wants to know why Daisy May is no longer playing with her little brother, Mac.

According to them, she used to always follow Mac on his way home because they’re friends.

It also appears in the video that Mac is just beside Daisy May inside the vehicle. It makes sense now as to why she’s no longer interested in playing with her little brother. She probably thinks that Mac is already out of her league.

She sniffs (still with the attitude) at him and looks at the other side of the window. Poor Mac.

Here come mom’s lectures!

When mom starts recounting her tenacious dog’s misdeeds, the dog tosses back her blocky head at the idea of being taken to task.

She’s like a teenager- rolling her eyes and saying “whatEVER people.”

She keeps on looking away as if she can avoid mom’s lectures that way. She also stares outside through the car window and pretends to be looking at something.

If only she could stick her paws in her ears, she would definitely do it.

She’s pouting a lot, it’s like she’s trying to make it a snout. Can you blame her? After all, the dog just wants to freely play with her friends (whoever it is).

Can you imagine a pre-teen or teenage kid acting up? Yup, that’s her, that’s Daisy May!

The lectures continue and so does her whining.

She just seems unstoppable with her whimpers and sniffs. It seems like mom’s words are going inside one ear and right out the other.

Mom doesn’t even know if she’s going to be annoyed with the dog’s gestures or not. It’s like Daisy May is telling mom, “Not today mom! not today!”

It’s pretty much normal for a dog to act up, especially when they don’t get what they want- just like kids. What we do know is that she has quite a personality. It might be not cool to some dog owners, but for Young and her family, getting such reactions from their pooch is fun to watch.

At the 1:40 mark of the video, she even shakes her head “NO” and you can almost hear her saying it!

The Whole Dog Journal explains that a dog’s whine means something:

“A dog may whine when it wants something, needs or wants to go outside, feels frustrated by leash restraint, is separated from a valued companion (human or otherwise), or just wants attention.”

And that should probably explain it, right?
