Raising kids isn’t easy, no matter how good your parenting is, they don’t always listen. Sometimes it’s the decisions they make, other times it’s the appearance they choose. For this mother, it was her son’s massive beard that she just couldn’t stand!

He shaves off the beard as his mother’s Christmas gift, just wait until you see her reaction.

Not only does he get rid of the beard, but he also films the process so we can see his mothers reaction

Kevin Duggan had been growing a beard out for quite some time, although he loved it, his mother didn’t like it at all. That’s when Kevin got the idea, to give his mom an extra special present for Christmas.

He got his camera ready and prepared for the big day!

Kevin starts the video in the bathroom, and the shaving process begins

Within a matter of seconds, what took years to grow starts falling onto the sink. Kevin goes doesn’t hold back, after a big breathe his starts chopping and he’s already starting to look like a new man.

His mother probably won’t even recognize him, until she looks close and realizes that’s her son!

Before cutting it all off completely, Kevin plays with the idea of having a gigantic mustache

The beard starts fading into a giant handlebar mustache, it doesn’t look half bad on Kevin but I don’t think his mom would like that either.

After checking out the mustache in the mirror for a little bit, he starts to make the final leap of faith and begins cutting the rest.

With the beard gone, he gets a razor and puts the final touch on his transformation

If his moms going to love it, Kevin has to commit. So he grabs a razor and starts the close shave his face has been longing for. A new man has begun to emerge on the video, he looks ten times better.

The beard is gone, now it’s time for the big reveal. Will his mom even recognize her son? Who knows, she might even faint, it is a pretty drastic change after all.

He stands in the kitchen with the camera rolling, any second his mom will walk in and see her present

When his mom finally sees the big reveal, it takes her a second to realize she’s talking to her son. She can’t believe her eyes, the dreaded beard that she hated is gone! Kevin went from Gandolph to Brad Pitt in a matter of minutes.

“Yay, is it you? is it really you? What made you decide to do that?” Says Kevin’s mom. He responds: “For Christmas, for you.” The happy mother hugs her son tightly.
