We will all experience things in our lives that we’re not able to explain. Not even science or reason can’t determine exactly what happens with these events. They are simply “unexplainable.”

For one mother, such an event occurred when she noticed something strange on her security camera footage.

A woman and her daughter were watching television in their living room one evening just before midnight. The mother then received a notification from her home alarm system. Such a notification coming in late at night can be an unsettling experience.

The home security system took a screenshot from camera footage and saved it to the cloud. When the woman and her daughter checked the image they noticed something quite startling.

There was the image of a person in her home and the person looked just like her son who had died a few years prior.

Jennifer Hodge believes security camera footage captured an image of her deceased son.

Jennifer Hodge lost her son Robbie when he was only 23 years of age. He died of what is suspected to be an accidental overdose of fake Xanax medication.

She spoke to the Daily Mail about her reaction when security footage appeared to capture an image of him in her home.

“I was laying in bed watching TV with my daughter and I was just about asleep.”

‘The phone was lay between us and I got this message notification saying someone was in the kitchen.”

“She was like ‘Mum, there’s a person in the kitchen… Mum, that’s Robbie! I was stunned.”

“And it did look just like him – beard and all.”

Mother and daughter rushed to the scene of the image but there was nothing there. No further sightings have been made either.

Paranormal investigators called in.

A local news team shared the image with paranormal investigators, who took a keen interest in the case. The researchers from Paranormal Georgia Investigations immediately noticed the human-figured silhouette in the picture.

The investigators determined that there were no appliances or curtains nearby that could have caused the image to appear the way it did either.

There was a human figure that had triggered the security system and according to the investigators, nothing in the room could have caused this to occur. What was going on here? The investigators needed to figure it out. Unfortunately, it is not clear if the woman ever did invite the pair into her home to investigate.

1 in 5 adults say they’ve seen a ghost.

Almost 20% of Americans believe they have seen or been in the presence of a ghost. The following is from the Pew Research Center:

Nearly one-in-five U.S. adults (18%) say they’ve seen or been in the presence of a ghost, according to a 2009 Pew Research Center survey. An even greater share – 29% – say they have felt in touch with someone who has already died.

Did Robbie visit his family?

Jennifer believes that Robbie visited his family to let them know he’s okay.

“Now, I feel like he was letting me know he is happy in heaven.”

“That brings me some comfort, but I still just think it’s weird.”

“I haven’t seen anything since and I had never seen a ghost before.”
