Special-needs dog’s favorite activity is jumping in puddles – and the videos are pure happiness

For most of us, playing in mud puddles is something we did as children. The sheer joy of giving a big jump and splashing down into the water was a fun part of our childhood. It would seem that even animals like to take part in this activity, as shown by Stevie the Wonderdog.

A video of his unabashed joy while playing in a puddle is taking the Internet by storm.

Stevie, a yellow Labrador, has cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition that makes it more difficult to move around. But that doesn’t stop him. He more than makes up for his condition by really going at it when he is doing his favorite thing, which happens to be splashing around in mud puddles.

Stevie’s parents created an Instagram page where they chronicle his life and his fun-loving ways and love of life. In Stevie’s case, his cerebellar hypoplasia causes him to get wobbly legs. This doesn’t stop him from playing his heart out when it comes to jumping around in his beloved mud puddles.

He also has a favorite toy, a stuffed duck, appropriately named Ducky. According to his parents, the only rule they have for Stevie is that Ducky stays in the house and doesn’t go outside. Chances are, they probably don’t want to deal with cleaning the toy or having to throw it away.

In addition to Instagram, Stevie also has a Facebook page. His parents post about his love of mud puddles on both, putting up videos of the cute pup as he plays.

An example of his love of mud puddles can be seen in one video where he sees a puddle and begins to hop and thrash around, getting mud all over himself in the process.

The videos of Stevie’s antics have been a hit with viewers, and he has racked up over 90,000 followers on Instagram and 193,000 followers on Facebook.

To make things a little easier to clean up, Stevie’s parents bought him a kiddie pool to splash around in whenever he wants. It seems that Stevie simply loves the water, as another video shows him getting excited and trying to catch the water as his mom sprays it from a hose.
