Working in customer service is no walk in the park. Unfortunately, there are those who don’t realize this. But for people who’ve worked in the industry, they know how challenging and exhausting it can be.

Sure, they get paid but being on your feet for hours, dealing with customers’ requests can take its toll. A generous tip can bring a smile to an employee’s face. It’s a sign of gratitude after all.

Back in 2018, a video went viral at On Your Mark Cafe located in New York. It’s a cafe staffed with special needs individuals that opened in 2001. The cafe’s earnings goes to the On Your Mark program.

Tips aren’t always the same amount so the staff splits all the tips received.

A server named Jen counted a total of $112 left by a mystery diner. Everyone was ecstatic!

Nicole Jablonski, the cafe’s manager, recorded the moment on her phone. She wanted to capture the moment her staff felt so happy. It’s a nice memory to have in the future!

In the now viral video, Jen is surrounded by her fellow workers who are counting the bundle of money with her.

One of the workers couldn’t hold back her emotions, exclaiming, “Holy Macaroni!”

And they surely deserved it, what with all the hard work they put in day in and day out.

$112 is still a decent amount, and as tip, something like that does not fall in a tip box daily. Nicole went ahead and shared her excitement with the staff, who were all super happy.

Jen and her colleagues exchanged high fives, celebrating their success. This was a victory for every single one of them!

And as expected, many viewers shared in the delight of the employees, expressing their own happiness over the huge amount of tip Jen and the others received.

“Very good Jenn keep up the good work!” A Facebook user praised Jen while encouraging her and the others to continue the wonderful job they’re doing.

“Well deserved!” Says another Facebook user who went on to assure Jen and the employees that they were well deserving of the tip.

“Excellent service today. Thank you!” Went another user who really enjoyed her stay at the cafe.

For those of you have worked in a cafe or restaurant, you know how difficult it can be. And you also know how awesome it is receiving a tip.

Surely Jen and her coworkers earned the generous tip they received from that anonymous diner. Anyone working in customer service knows that it takes a lot of patience, fortitude, and determination. Customers can be unkind.

But this is a cafe that leaves its customers smiling all the time.

It might be a good idea to drop by should you find yourself in the area. Say hello to Jen and the others and have a great time inside. Just don’t forget to leave them smiling with another tip.
