Think all cats hate water? This one gets its own bubble baths – and he loves them

Not all cats hate water.

Have you ever seen a kitty happily lounging in a sink, letting the tap drip on their fur, or dipping a toe in its owner’s bathtub?

While many cats are fascinated by dripping or moving water but have no desire to fully immerse themselves, a few cats – like Cooper – will hop right in.

Cooper is obsessed with water no matter where it is – in the plants, in the sink, in the tub, in the fish tank. This sphynx cat just can’t stop touching it.

“Wherever there is water you will find this little cat,” said his loving dad Niklas Lundström.

Cooper will even “help” his dad do the dishes – he’ll simply climb right in the way and start pawing at the water.

So helpful!

“I can’t even brush my teeth without him playing with the water in the sink,” said Niklas.

Cooper also loves trips to the beach and swimming pools. But he’s not a very good swimmer, so Niklas has managed to find him a kitty life jacket so he’s always safe when they go out on walks.

As far as this little guy is concerned – all water is his water.

“The first time I noticed that Cooper was interested in water was when I took a bath. He started splashing from the edge of the tub. When he hears the water, when I go to fill the tub, he [comes] running like a rocket.”

Cooper wants his own baths too! And he’s not satisfied with used human bathwater.

The sphynx lets his dad know he’s ready for his bath by sitting on the bathmat near the tub and looking absolutely adorable and meowing until he gets his way.

We certainly wouldn’t be able to resist those intense green eyes of his!

And when his dad does run him a bath, he hops right in and happily splashes around with his paws.

Now, dad doesn’t run just any bath for Cooper’s special time. He breaks out the kiddie bubble bath!

After all, everything is more fun with bubbles and the hilarious cat is even more enamored of the soapy stuff. (He doesn’t drink it, of course, but he really loves “patting” those bubbles!)

While Cooper is a bath fiend, he only gets bubble baths twice a month, which seems reasonable to us (and for his delicate skin).

Viewers are finding Cooper’s antics so funny that the video of him playing in water (which you can find below) has already been viewed 3 MILLION times in just a few days! And we have no doubt there are some repeat viewers out there (like us).

In the comments section, many cat owners chimed in to say that their funny felines also loved water, but few could match the obsession of Cooper and his bubbles.

Since Cooper lives in Sweden, the water outdoors is often too cold, so a warm bath is his preferred means of relaxing.

And he gets a nice rinse after each bath (which he sits completely still for) and his dad is happy to do it all for him.

“It’s like a Sunday spa for him,” Niklas said.

A twice-a-month spa day sounds pretty great to us!

It’s clear that these two are lucky to have one another.
