Staffy puppies shower German shepherd with love in adorable video that’s stealing hearts
What’s better than a video of a dog?
A video of more dogs, of course! In a recording posted on YouTube, people gushed over the adorable interaction between two Staffordshire puppies and an older German shepherd dog.
While doggie interaction videos are not new to us, we can’t get enough of them either. Get ready to click on that “like” button because this trio will definitely steal your heart.
The puppies, Red and Violet are sick.
The two 13-week old puppies, as posted on the video’s description, “have their health challenges”.
But despite that, they found comfort in each other and an unlikely caretaker. Another character in the video seemed fine being a mountain that the puppies were climbing on.
Just below the wrestling puppies is Banjo, a 6-month-old German shepherd dog. And as far as antics go, Banjo is pretty chill about it. So much so that he gets to sleep even if the puppies around him are supercharged.
The people loved the interaction between the three dogs.
Even with a recording running for less than a minute, it achieved all it needed to achieve – win the hearts of dog lovers all over the world.
“This is so sweet! The German shepherd pups are just the best nanny dogs! So patient and sweet with all the puppies, melts my heart!” said one commenter.
They also commended how the dogs were raised.
“It is truly amazing how gentle all the big dogs are with the much smaller dogs. They only know love because that’s how you guys raised them.” said another one, giving credit to the dogs’ owners.
“I’m repeating myself a bit but these pups are surrounded by love. They, and every other dog and person on the farm, live wrapped up in love, compassion, and excellent care. Even the “toughest” shelter dogs open up their hearts to such love. In return they free themselves to love back. The best of the best people!” said another comment.
These breeds may be considered “fierce,” but this moment tells otherwise.
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier comes from the long history of the ghastly blood sport of dogfighting.
When the practice was outlawed in 1835 in the United Kingdom, underground supporters of the activity continued. To this end, they wanted to produce the best fighter dog – one that has the powerful jaws of a bulldog and the fiery spirit of a terrier.
While most of the descendants of this breeding practice are now extinct, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier stands as one of the most successful and enduring. It was then brought to North America around the 1880s, where an offshoot of a heavier and taller breed was created – the American Staffordshire or AmStaff.
While not among the biggest, the Staffordshire terrier banks on stockiness whatever it lacks in height. And coming from a brutal history of dogfighting, Staffordshire terriers are now raised in loving homes just like this one.
Watch how these two puppies show their love for their German shepherd caretaker.
