This is an orca. They’re also commonly referred to as killer whales.

They are not only massive and dangerous predators, but they are also extremely intelligent. They use echolocation to navigate around the ocean. They’re very social and are among some of the most dangerous predators.

Orcas can grow up to 32 feet in size and can weigh up to 6 tons.

Orcas are often part of marine park entertainment as they’re highly intelligent. However, they are best left out in the wild as captive life doesn’t suit them.

Miguel Cuevas and his tourist group got an amazing sight of the orca.

Miguel and his customers were cruising through the Sea of Cortés in their boat enjoying the breathtaking view of the ocean.

There were a few boats alongside Miguel’s boat. The arrival of the killer whale was already anticipated as all the cameras were already out to record the moment.

The ocean was at peace, but the tranquillity was broken by some magnificence.

The whale was hunting a dolphin. Orcas use various techniques to catch their prey. For instance, they frequently hunt in herds and occasionally catch their prey by jumping onto land.

Not only do they hunt fish, seals, and dolphins, but they are also known to hunt whales that are bigger than them. There is no record of them attacking humans – so far. Luckily, we don’t seem to be a part of their diet.

The orca was hunting the dolphins in this video, and everyone was entranced by the scene.
