People across the world love and miss Steve Irwin for his charm, joy and love for wildlife. Luckily, his son is following in his footsteps in more ways than one.

Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter himself, was an amazing human being. Not only was he a unique conservationist and television host, but he was also a loving father and husband.

He met his wife, Terri Raines, in 1991. Raines couldn’t help but fall in love with Irwin right away. She has even said that when she first encountered him “I thought there was no one like this anywhere in the world. He sounded like an environmental Tarzan, a larger-than-life superhero guy.”

In fact, within one year of meeting, the two were married. Many people say that no one should marry their partner within one year of meeting them. But in Raines’s case, can you blame her? Just watch any clip of Steve Irwin. You can instantly see why he would make an ideal husband.

Raines and Irwin would have two children during the course of their marriage, Bindi and Robert.

Sadly, Irwin died when Bindi was just eight and Robert was just two. The children were robbed of the chance to grow up with their father. But his impact upon their lives has been profound, as Robert has recently proved.

Robert Irwin is now 16-years old. He, like his sister, is following in his father’s footsteps.

Even though he’s still several years away from legally being an adult, he’s a respected environmental figure in his own right. In fact, he has already hosted animal TV series, been nominated for national nature photographer awards and raised tens of thousands of dollars for his family’s wildlife organization, Wildlife Warriors.

And to highlight the similarities between Robert Irwin and his father, people have been comparing photos of the two.

A few weeks ago, Robert shared a photo of himself with a koala bear.

People online were amazed at just how strongly he resembled his father in another photo. No one can doubt that Robert is Steve’s son!

But these aren’t the only photos that showcase Robert and Steve Irwin’s similar appearances and passions.

In fact, there are many photos just like it.

There’s no doubt that Steve Irwin would be incredibly proud of Robert.

The child appears to have every ounce of passion, humility and charm that his father had. He is sure to do great things (and he already has!)

Of course, Bindi, Steve Irwin’s daughter, is also very similar in personality, appearance and vocation to her father. Bindi is now 21 years old. She has many talents. In fact, she’s been an actor, dancer, musician as well as TV show host and environmentalist.

Everyone who has kids should learn from Steve Irwin and Terri Raines’s examples. They both encouraged their children to pursue their passions. Steve Irwin’s encouragement and joy were able to influence his children to do good. In fact, his passion was still evident even after his passing.

All parents should do whatever they can to encourage their children to do good and do what they love.

At the end of the day, we all have a duty to make the world a better and happier place. And one of the core ways that we can do that is through raising our own children to be the best that they can be.
