Stranger's act of kindness leaves pregnant woman crying tears of joy in grocery store

These are really rough times, especially for the middle and working classes’ around the world. With millions losing their jobs, many people are left wondering where they will get their next meal from.

If you’re still blessed enough to be working, don’t forget your neighbor who may not be as fortunate. One woman found her self in tears after a stranger at the grocery store left her a surprise at the register.

This brought tears to my eyes, please, help anyone you can!

Jen Mullins is the mother of a 4-year-old boy, with another baby on the way. Last month, she had a stranger give her a gift that had her bawling

When Jen and her 4-year-old went to the grocery store, she strategically bought everything she could with the money she had. With everyone panic buying, the only stuff left was expensive and didn’t amount to much.

“My family and I have to live check by check. So when people are buying in bulk and clearing the shelves it’s harder on us because I can’t afford a lot of what’s left.” Jen wrote in a Facebook post, the post went on to say: “But I made my way to Meijer (Allen Park, Mi) today and bought this. $37 worth for this… it wasn’t much but it was what I could afford for us to make dinner.” Jen’s Facebook post started.

Just wanted to put out a positive post in all the chaos… and to just share something positive with my Blue October…

While standing in line her son asked if he could get a toy, but she explained that they couldn’t afford it at the moment

Like any 4-year-old, Jen’s son doesn’t quite understand what’s going on at the moment so he asked if he could get one of the toy cars they put in the check-out line. Her Facebook post went on to explain:

“He asks for one of the cars that’s always at the register and I tell him unfortunately today I can’t afford it. Today we need to buy whatever food we can to get us through this week. He’s 4 and really only understands that he can’t get this toy. He’s upset but stops asking.”

Little did she know, a kind-hearted shopper had heard Jen talking to her son and did something the mother will never forget

The stranger decided to buy Jen a gift card, instructing the cashier to wait until she left to give it to the pregnant woman. Jen’s post continues:

“Well after all this I go to pay for our things and the cashier hands me a gift card. She then tells me the lady that was in front of me bought it and wanted me to have it but to make sure she left first. She got me a $50 gift card to help us out. Of course I’m pregnant and super emotional as it is and I start bawling my eyes out in line at Meijer.”

For her to go out of her way and help someone in need, understandably, had Jen very emotional

The end of Jen’s Facebook post read:

“But it’s amazing to know there’s still great people in this world and I’m so grateful to this other mom for helping us out! That honestly helped us more than she may ever know. I literally only had $40 left to my name for 2 weeks and I was about to spend $37 of it on this little bit of food. Because of her I’ll be able to get a little more if we run out before our next check. I’ll be able to get gas to get to work and not have to worry. I hope one day we can get caught up so I can pass it forward.”

What an amazing lady! If you’re someone who is fortunate enough to still have a job, or a big savings account, now is a time where a little can go along way and people need all the help they can get.
