Video shows stranger saving 6-year-old girl after she was abandoned on the street by her own parents

There are certain crimes that are almost too horrible to even speak of, and abandoning a child is one of them.

Most of us could never even imagine doing something so heartless, but it’s a tragic fact that some children are abandoned by their own mothers and fathers, and that’s exactly what happened recently in Queens, New York.

Fortunately, a kindhearted woman was driving by just after the incident occurred and was able to lead the abandoned child to safety.

It all happened on Monday, May 18. Mishka Peart was driving along, just like usual, when she saw a 6-year-old girl standing right in the middle of a busy intersection, all alone, with nobody looking after her.

Naturally, not wanting to simply drive on and leave a child unattended in such a risky situation, Mishka stopped her car and approached the little one, asking what she was doing there and where her parents were.

The poor child seemed totally confused, saying that her parents had simply left her there and driven away.

Security camera footage captured the whole incident unfold, showing a white car slowly coming to a stop in the middle of the road. We then see a bag drop out of one of the windows, before the little girl gets out of the back.

Then, the car dramatically drives away, and the little girl chases after it for a moment, waving to her parents inside before they disappear around the corner.

Thankfully, the little one wasn’t on her own too long, as Mishka arrived only moments after the abandoning occurred.

I’m just happy that I’m the one who pulled up. When the detectives told me that it was within seconds of her being thrown out of the car, I was like — I was put there. I was meant to be there. I saw her with the little garbage bag, and I could clearly see that there were clothing items in there. She just looked at me like, like she needed my help… I said ‘Hey where are you going?’ And she said ‘I don’t know.’ So I said ‘Where are your parents?’ And she said, ‘They left me.’ I said ‘They left you? What does that mean?

Peart wasn’t sure what to do at first, but remembered seeing a school safety agent earlier on at a local park, so took the little girl there to ask for help.

Police sources revealed that the girl, who was very emotional and scared, had no identification and didn’t even know her last name.

Luckily, she wasn’t hurt in any way, and the cops were able to use the surveillance footage to track down her mother, 29-year-old Patrice Chambers, and stepfather, 28-year-old Mark Pamphile.

Both the mother and stepfather have been arrested, charged with child abandonment and reckless endangerment.

The little girl, meanwhile, has been placed into the care of the city’s Administration for Children’s Services.

Peart is just happy that she was the one who arrived on the scene at the right moment, as other people might not have been so kind.

Anyone else could have picked her up. She could have been abused. She could have been killed. I can’t imagine someone could do that to a child, let alone their own child.
