This reporter is usually a complete pro. But even he couldn’t resist the cheeky cat’s charms.

Artur Lira is a Brazilian reporter who works tirelessly to uncover the truth and provide his people with the facts. It’s a serious and thankless profession, unless cute little kitties get involved.

One day, Lira was presenting a live segment about law enforcement in his country. But then he felt something brushing against his legs.

As an animal lover, Lira soon realized that the creature was a cat.

At first, Lira tried to ignore the mischievous animal and stick to the news. But the cat just wouldn’t leave him alone and kept on rubbing against his legs.

Then the cat started meowing.

Lira’s felt his professionalism slipping away. He began cracking up. Soon, his laughter was visible to audiences across Brazil.

He kept on laughing and looked down at the culprit. The cat was indeed very cute.

The camera panned down to reveal to the world what it was that Lira had found so funny.

The cat was now looking around. Then he moved back to Lira and wrapped his tail around his leg. He looked up at him and meowed as Lira pet him.

The news team cut back to the studio while Lira composed himself.

Later, they cut back to Lira to complete his report.

This time, they had moved away from the cat. But just as they began shooting, the cat hopped into the trailer of the vehicle Lira was standing behind.

Lira kept on talking to the camera, but then the cat’s head popped up from the trailer. Again, Lira began laughing, overcome by the cat’s charms a second time.

Lira then uploaded the footage of his cat-astrophic news reports to his Facebook page. It soon resonated with people on the site.

To date, the video has been viewed almost 500,000 times. It also has more than 2,400 reactions, 600 shares and 300 comments. People have been saying things like this:

In fact, Lira loved the stray so much he decided that he couldn’t just leave him on the street.

After the report was finally completed, he called up his Aunt Neide. He knew that Neide had expressed interest in adopting a new animal.

Luckily, Neide had already seen the cat interact with Lira on the air. She agreed to adopt him right away.

So Lira picked the cat up and put him in his car.

Soon, the cat arrived at his home, where he met Lira’s aunt. The aunt decided to name the cat Frajola. Lira also agreed to take Frajola to get spayed and have his shots.

Lira said that he was very happy to know that the cat was going to be part of his family.

Frajola sure is a clever cat. He must have been able to detect the kindness in Lira and decided to do all he could to ensure that the reporter would find him a forever home.

Since this incident, all of Lira’s news reports have been flawless. As long as no other animals sneak into his heart on air, this should continue.
