Stray dog about to give up on life on woman's porch gets rescued and transforms into beautiful pooch
Being homeless is never easy, they crumble every day to survive and scrap for food and safe drinking water. They sleep at night and wake up in the morning knowing that it’s another day of having absolutely nothing.
When talking about homelessness, it’s not a secret to most of us that this also applies to animals. These poor creatures wander around the streets and alleys just to look for something they could gobble in on.
Thankfully, these homeless animals were sent guardian angels just like Lisa Arturo and Liza Chiarelli of Big Love Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization founded in Valley Village, California in May of 2019.
Rescuers on-the-go!
One day, they received a call from a concerned citizen who reported a stray dog roaming around in their neighborhood. According to the caller, people were driving the dog away by throwing rocks at the poor animal.
They wasted no second and immediately drove to South Central even if it was a Memorial Day weekend.
Upon arriving, they had this plan to stay there for about 20 to 30 minutes and wait until the shows up. Thiry minutes passed but the dog was still nowhere around the area. The Liza duo then decided to drive around the neighborhood, searched through alleys, and asked the residents if they saw a stray dog around.
They did everything they could for around five hours but found no luck and went home empty-handed.
A magic trick.
Thinking that it might do the trick, they asked the woman who called them to leave a little blanket on her porch. Luckily, it worked because the next day, the dog was seen sleeping comfortably on the blanket.
They once again rushed over to the place, only that time, they had no plans of going back home without the dog with them. So, off they went and brought a portable fence to block the dog’s way just in case it decides to run away.
Turns out, they didn’t actually need any entrapment strategy or equipment because the poor animal just gave up on life.
“He just gave in, he didn’t care,” said Liza. “He was just like ‘Do whatever you want to do with me.'”
A neglected dog’s story.
As always, a homeless dog’s health condition is either bad or worst and this dog’s case was no different. They found a lot of wounds, scabs, and wrinkles all over its face. Although getting the dog to come with them was no challenge as it immediately gave its trust to his rescuers.
Their first stop was to bring the dog to a veterinarian to have him checked. There, they found out that the rescue dog had eye and skin infections.
To start with his new life, they decided to freshen him up by giving him a bath, probably something he hadn’t experienced in a long while.
Day after day, the then sick-looking pooch slowly turned into a delightful doggo! No more sad and dull eyes, only energetic and full-of-life type of dog! His bright side started to show up and his rescuers couldn’t believe the transformation made by their rescue pup.
He was eventually put up for adoption and it didn’t take long before a family fell in love with him. Soon, he was taken home by his new parents, Amy and Kieran. He instantly fit in with his new family and his dog sibling, a female Rottweiler.
Everything good started happening to his life and it’s all thanks to his guardian angels who unhesitatingly saved him.
