Stray dog keeps showing up at car dealership so they give him a job and a work badge
This stray dog proved that you need one thing to land a job: PERSISTENCE.
Believe it or not, this dog earned a job at a car dealership store that he frequented.
What started as an act of kindness from the management ended up as their biggest company asset.
This is Tucson Prime, and if that name sounds familiar, that’s because it is.

One reason that it sounds very familiar is that it is one of Hyundai’s car models.
Who would name their dog after a car?
Well, if that dog worked for Hyundai, it makes a lot of sense. And that’s what makes Tucson Prime’s story very interesting.
Back then, he was still a stray dog with no name.
One stormy night, Prime Hyundai Brazil manager Emerson Mariano found him outside their building and didn’t want to leave him there.
He was worried that the dog would be cold and wet outside. So, he let him in and provided him with some food.
Emerson let him go the next day and thought that would be the last he’d see of this poor dog. He was wrong.
The dog was persistent. He kept coming back to their building until all the staff, including Emerson, had grown fond of him.
The manager couldn’t turn his back on the dog who was too lovable for them to ignore.
After a few days, Emerson decided to finally adopt the dog, and they named him Tucson Prime.

They named him after the car company’s small crossover. Tucson Prime then became a vital paw-sonality in the company.
Aside from the food and brand-new doghouse they gave him, they also gave him a company badge making him an official employee of Prime Hyundai Brazil.
Tucson Prime became a brand ambassador for the car company with his excellent customer service.

Customers drop by their showroom, and he entertains them. He greets them with friendly and excited tail wags and would never say no to some pets and hugs.
Tucson Prime earned his job title as Prime Hyundai’s “Pawfessional Consultant.”
He exceeded their expectations, and Tucson Prime has become a crowd favorite.

The second reason his name may be familiar is that this dog has become an internet sensation!
They created an Instagram page for him since they got him his new house.
More than two years later, he now has more than 184k followers!
His popularity has become his and Hyundai’s asset. So popular that some customers would send him all the goodies – toys, treats, and even neckties for his “office attire.”
Other customers who had already bought a car from their store would often come back just to say hi to Tucson Prime.
He also proved to be a marketing asset to the company.

Despite the challenging economy during the pandemic, Hyundai Motor Brazil grabbed the #4 spot in the Brazilian car market, where they previously ranked #7.
It’s safe to say we can give credit to his pawsome personality!
Now, Tucson Prime has become a dog ambassador for pet-friendly destinations.
Hyundai Motors take pride in being a pet-friendly company, and they wanted to show more by creating a pet-friendly guide when touring around Brazil and Argentina.
Of course, Tucson Prime is the star of that campaign!
