Sad, stray kittens and an orphaned goat form the most beautiful friendship

When you put a bunch of stray animals together, you never know what you’re going to get. Many are not very trusting because they never had an owner to show them love. Makes sense, right? That’s why what happened among two kittens and one goat came as such a surprise.

When Snow Leopard and Snow Tiger came to Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary in Australia they started acting out and weren’t the friendliest of felines, probably because they didn’t trust humans. They didn’t really befriend any other animals…at least not yet.

They were feeling lonely, but they weren’t the only ones. There was an orphaned lamb, Fifi, who had been rescued from a meat farm and was missing her mom. Fifi was just hanging out and was keeping to herself, but not for long.

When you put all of these circumstances together, what do you get?

A friendship like none other. These three animals that couldn’t find love anywhere else found it when they were all put together by chance. Who would have thought that two cats and a lamb would become besties? Lambs are known to be gentle animals so maybe that had something to do with it. Maybe lambs and cats have more in common than people thought. Whatever the case, things couldn’t have turned out better for these three animals.

“Fifi is just so curious (like all little babies) and loves exploring things, especially kittens,” Pam Ahern, the founder of Edgar’s Mission, told The Dodo.

Everyone seemed to notice that finding friends really changed these animals. They’re not much different from humans. When humans have friendship they can change as well.

Ahern told The Dodo, “It is amazing to witness the turnaround of Snow Tiger from frightened, spitting and scratching kitty, to purring bundle of fur who just wants to cuddle up for love.”

Now these three animals, who had no one, all have each other.

If you thought that it was odd that different animals could become friends and enjoy each other’s company, it’s not. Ahern says they often see friendships form between different species. They’re non-judgmental and really just want to be loved like humans. The big difference is they don’t care what someone looks like, it’s what’s on the inside that matters. Still, you never think of cats and lambs become the best of friends.

When you look at these three, you can tell that they are certainly not judging one another. They are just enjoying their time together. If it wasn’t for the animal sanctuary, who knows where these animals would have ended up. One thing is for sure. They would have never found one another and formed the bond that they did.
