Stealing is a serious crime to commit. However, this cute thief will make you think twice.

Meet Sisu, the dog.

His name came from the Disney character from the film “Raya and the Last Dragon”.

He became popular due to his misconduct at a Dollar General Store in North Carolina.

Or, rather, Sisu became “infamous”.

The store workers even closed their automatic doors to prevent him from coming in again.

So, what was his crime?

Sisu tried to take away a purple unicorn stuffed toy from the store. Multiple times.

Employees had to call Duplin County Animal Services, to prevent him from another theft attempt.

One of the staff phoned Animal Control and told them about an attempted theft which was unusual.

Samantha Lane, the officer who took the call, responded immediately and met the accused dog.

When Lane saw Sisu, she felt that there was something behind his behavior, and she decided to do him a favor.

She bought the $10 toy for him.

Lane felt that he needed it to feel safe and comfortable. When Sisu received his treasured stuffed animal, he could not help but be thankful to the officer.

The dog continued to follow Lane anywhere after what she did. After seeing the dog lighten up, Samantha decided to bring him to the shelter.

The people at the shelter took care of him and checked his condition.

They were amazed at the connection that Sisu had with the purple toy, but they could only guess why he did so.

The man’s best friend got a friend of his own.

Sisu’s unique attachment has inspired those at the shelter to make a Facebook post that went viral.

“This is what happens when you break into the dollar general consistently to steal the purple unicorn that you laid claim to but then get animal control called to lock you up,” the caption indicates.

They even shared some of his best traits.

Who wouldn’t fall in love with this lovable dog? He can respond easily to commands, expresses himself, and obeys what he is told.

These skills are tell-tale signs that he previously belonged to a family.

Sadly, nobody claimed him, which is why he was considered a stray and listed for adoption.

But Sisu captured the public’s attention.

No wonder he found a new home in a short amount of time. The celebrity dog did not stay long at the shelter.

To even top it up, he received dozens of purple unicorns to keep him company.

Sisu and his pure heart found their way to the family he had longed for a long time. For sure, those who decide to adopt him will have the best times with Sisu.

He’s so vibrant people can’t help but love him.

He got so much love that he could share it not only with his family but also those who showed their support for him and his unique story.
