Many people think that college students are lazy. This student was so lazy that he managed to (mostly) singlehandedly construct a home while studying.

One of the best things about college is the free time. Many students find themselves with more free time than they’ve ever had before or will ever have again.

Of course, students are supposed to spend this free time studying. But most have other ideas. Bradley chose to spend this time building an incredible tiny home.

When you’re a student, essays can feel daunting. “How could I possibly write something 2,000 words long?” many think. But Bradley was thinking about an entirely different kind of length. He envisaged building a 22 1/2 feet long tiny home.

After planning it all out, Bradley got to work. One and a half years later, with construction performed mostly by himself, he had an amazing space.

The tiny home is mobile. Luckily, Bradley found the perfect spot on a dead-end street and parked it there.

He then built himself a deck out of pallets. The deck looks nice, and if Bradley ever wants to move his tiny home, then he can pack the pallets up or just throw them away.

This outdoor area, which also has a fire pit and a birdbath, cost Bradley next to nothing, so he has no problems with the idea of throwing it away one day.

At the trailer attachment end of the tiny home, there are electrical outlets and hose attachments, which provide power and water to the entire home. It also has an AC unit.

At the other end of the tiny home is a five-foot-wide porch. This fits two rocking chairs and a little table.

Bradley purchased a used travel trailer. He decided to buy one with a higher starting height, as he realized that he could use the space underneath for storage.

Straight through the door is a long comfortable sofa on one side, and a dining area with two stools on the other.

Next to the dining area is a TV mounted above a small electric fireplace.

At the end of the sofa is a movable island that can double as a dining table if Bradley has guests over.

Above the lounge/dining area is a small loft. This is where Bradley’s pet snake, Peanut, lives, in a tank of course.

The kitchen has one long expanse of counter space with a sink at one end. This stretches on for eight feet, which is more counter space than is available in many homes.

The cabinets underneath came from Bradley finding the doors in a dumpster and him constructing a frame for them out of scraps from other parts of his home construction.

When he needs to cook, Bradley has two electric burners and an electric convection oven.

Opposite the counter are the fridge and the oven. Bradley decided to install the oven underneath the fridge, as he believed that would look more aesthetic and help regulate the heat.

Next to the fridge is some pantry shelving, which has more than enough space for Bradley’s food.

At the end of the tiny home is a closet made out of curtains on a railing. The closet has all of Bradley’s clothes and a space for storing dirty laundry.

There’s also a corner desk, which serves as Bradley’s office for conducting college study.

Next to the closet/curtain is another curtain. Behind this curtain is Bradley’s bathroom. On one side of this is a composting toilet. On the other side is a shower.

A pipe ladder leads up to Bradley’s bed. The sleeping area features a full-size mattress and some extra storage space.

Today, Bradley has the most unique home out of anyone in this entire college. He loves living in this home and thinks that it could the perfect environment for launching his career.
