Susan Boyle treats followers to “peek” of her fully remodeled childhood home
What would you do if you had the money to change your life?
For Susan Boyle, it’s simple.
Buy her childhood home and renovate it into its full glory.
The Britain’s Got Talent alumni took her fans into her simple abode and showed them how she renovated her home in a blend of quaintness and luxury.

Boyle’s life changed from a simple village girl to a superstar after she auditioned for the reality talent show back in 2008.
She took that audition home with her rendition of “I Dreamed A Dream” from Les Miserable. And now, she’s definitely living the dream.
Her house was a council property.
Or, at least it was until she bought it.
Boyle has lived in the same house since her childhood. She shared that she didn’t want to leave her Bathgate residence because it holds a lot of treasured memories.

And right off the bat, the house shows a lot of quaint items you’d normally find in cozy country homes.
Like cross-stitched pillow covers and figurines.
But apart from those, her home is also decorated with the various accolades she got all throughout her career.
She has posters of her shows, a plaque for her sales achievement, and even a portrait of her that was made by a fan.
For Boyle, it’s about being grounded.
Retaining her childhood home roots her to where she came from which can give her a better perspective of what she has achieved.
The living room has newer and chic pieces of furniture with silhouettes that perfectly fit the quaintness of her house.
The piano room serves as her creative center and a way to display her achievements.
However, she admitted that despite her singing prowess, she was just starting to learn how to play the piano.
One big renovation was her kitchen.
She said that her kitchen was once so small “you hadn’t room to swing a cat.”
Now, the kitchen is adorned with white minimalist cupboards and marble-esque tiles for the walls.
She also shared that her kitchen was just recently done. Once upon a time, the room had a table with four chairs, making it more cramped than it already was.
The living room looks so cozy.
The small fireplace with wooden accents sits at the center and the walls are perfectly papered, reminiscent of country cottages.
It was almost unbelievable that Boyle lived with 8 others in the house. Now, she has a dedicated room just for her clothes.
People loved her modest living.
“She is definitely a gem. Considering her success she keeps a simple lifestyle and a beautiful neat home, more homely than those absurd mansions.” Said one comment.
“She’s got SO MUCH to be proud of but she sticks to the roots of her faith: humility. Such a sweet woman. And a lovely little abode!” said another.
“My parents will probably come back and haunt me,” Boyle said to OK! about her lifestyle,“ It’s good to stay grounded. You get the glamorous side and then you’ve got the more natural side.” And it reflects so much on her house.
