Sabrina Snyder, a professionally trained chef who has over a decade of experience, has shared her personal glazed ham recipe. And it’s as mouth-watering as it is easy to make!

All it takes to make it is precooked ham (obviously,) orange juice, honey, brown sugar and a few spices. It takes around 90 minutes to bake, and then you’ll have something that the whole family will enjoy. For a detailed guide to making this dish, read on below:

Determining cooking time.

Of course, the larger your ham, the longer you cook. You can calculate it to 10 minutes of baking per pound of precooked ham. The oven needs to be preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. You’ll know it’s done when it has an internal temperature of 145 degrees Farenheit.

Ingredients:

Spiral cut ham, with the bone in, if you can get one with the bone in.

A cup of brown sugar.

Half a cup of honey.

Half a cup of orange juice (pineapple juice also works a treat.)

A teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Half a teaspoon of cloves, ground.

Preparation:

Begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Then rinse the ham and dry it. Put it on some foil.

Combine all of the ingredients into a saucepan and heat at a medium temperature. Bring the pot to a boil and stir for four minutes.

Pour the mixture onto the ham (if you want, you can precut slices into the ham so that the mixture covers more of the meat.)

Wrap the foil around the ham, tightly.

Place the ham onto a roasting rack in a roasting tin. Cook the ham for around 90 minutes. Remember, it’s 10 minutes per pound, so adjust the cooking time to your meat.

In the last couple of minutes of cooking, take the ham out and remove the foil from around the ham. Put the ham back into the oven so that the glaze browns nicely. Keep a close eye on the ham during this time, as it can burn really fast!

Once the glaze has turned nice and brown, take the ham out of the oven for the last time. Rest the ham on your counter until it cools.

Then all that’s left is to enjoy this delicious meal.

Your guests will think you could be a professional chef. And if you tell them how easy it was to make, they probably won’t believe you. Or you could lie and say that it took hours and hours and hours of preparation.

Of course, if you have a large ham, then you might have plenty of leftovers. Those leftovers can be turned into more amazing dishes.

An easy leftover dish could be ham and white bean soup.

For this, you need to put the ham bone, the cut up ham, a diced onion, two minced garlic cloves, three diced carrots, two stalks of celery, two cans of white beans, half a teaspoon of oregano, a quarter teaspoon of rosemary, two bay leaves, salt and two tablespoons of parsley into a slow cooker with six cups of water. It takes seven to eight hours to cook on low heat or three to four hours on high heat.
