Talented duo performs incredible cover of Patsy Cline's 'Crazy'

Music has the power to speak to us in such a unique way. All kinds of sounds ranging from extremely upbeat songs to more solemn and slow songs can shift our moods accordingly. But there’s something about the “oldies but goodies” that bring such a raw and poetic sound.

Back then there were no high tech programs that musicians relied on to create a sound, it was just the musicians and their instruments.

Josh even explained the collaboration in the caption of the video saying,

“I’ve admired Allison’s voice for some time now, so when we made a tour stop in Nashville, I asked if she’d be willing to do a video. She said yes, and suggested we ought to do something as Nashville as it comes – a Willie Nelson tune popularized by Patsy Cline.”

They both start the song off with a pitch-perfect whistle together (that in itself will give you the chills).

Allison follows Josh’s acoustic melodies and her voice is a soothing masterpiece. Their sounds compliment each other so well you’ll want to find even more duets they play together. Allison’s voice influxes at the most perfect moments bringing the song lyrics to life just as Patsy Cline had.

Although this song illustrates a deep heartbreak Allison makes it feel so light and passionate.

She sings,

” And I’m crazy for loving you

Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you

I’m crazy for trying and crazy for crying

And I’m crazy for loving you.”

The famed Patsy Cline song was originally written in 1961 by Willie Nelson who was an aspiring singer/songwriter in Nashville.

We’d say Josh and Allison sure know how to pay the original artists’ respect.
