Since the invention of the internet, and video-sharing sites in particular, there is one thing that has brought everyone a little bit of joy.

And that, of course, is funny animal videos.

One of the more popular videos that has been making it’s way across the internet for the last few years is that of a talking dog.

The pup isn’t actually talking, of course, but the dog’s owner dubbed over his little lip wiggles with some hilarious commentary.

The video was posted in May of 2011 and has been viewed over 200 million times with millions of likes and positive reactions.

In the video, dog owner Andrew Grantham tells his dog all about the delicious food he has in the fridge.

The dog’s ears perk up as soon as his owner mentions food and he listens intently to everything the man has to say.

He teases the dog by talking about the delicious maple bacon he has in the fridge, and how he took it out and ate it up all by himself.

Upon learning there was no bacon left for him, the dog wails his discontent and looks quite upset.

He turns away and only looks back at his owner when Andrew mentioned going back to the fridge for something else.

“I noticed there was some beef in there,” he says, “you know, steak, nice and juicy. Well, I ate that too!”

Again, the poor dog yelled his disappointment with his owner and looked like he was about to walk away when the owner mentioned something else.

Saying that he went back to the fridge and found something else that would be delicious for a dog.

The pup came right back to sitting beside him, hopeful he would finally get something for himself.

“I took some chicken,” Andrew began, “and I put some cheese on it, then I covered it with cat treats.”

By this point the little dog’s mouth was surely watering and it’s a miracle we don’t see any actual drool on the video.

In one final act of betrayal, the owner asks the pup to guess what he did with that, and the pup’s little mouth quietly asks “what?”.

“I gave it to the cat!” the man continued to the dismay of the dog.

He howled and wailed and pouted at his owner’s cruelness, wishing he could have had some of that delicious treat.

Throughout the video, whenever the dog was upset about not getting any of the food, he would turn away so as to not look at the man, but his eyes would always turn back to make sure the man knew he wasn’t happy.

Though none of those food items are actually meant for dogs, none of them would hurt him in small amounts.

Surely he would have been grateful for even just the smallest taste of any of them!

We can only hope that his owner eventually broke down and gave the pup a little something special for being such an adorable good boy.
