The two 15-year-old’s have been amassing tons of rewards and won numerous dancing competitions.

That definitely raises expectations, and they’ve recently even won world championship titles with their amazing swing routines.

Ryan lives in Raleigh, North Carolina and his trusted dance partner Alexis is from Damascus, Maryland. They’re the perfect match when it comes to dancing, and they’ve got numerous awards and titles to back it up. The teens also won’t back down from any style – they’re versed in numerous styles including jazz, hip-hop and even ballet.

However, there’s one specific style that Ryan and Alexis are especially known and admired for: swing.

The swing style has been made popular between the 1920s and 1940s when it was one of the most common music trends at the time, but it definitely still has its fans and multiple current adaptations. For example, Charleston, Lindy Hop, and West Coast swing are all variations of the original that are still quite popular today.

Alexis and Ryan have had years to practice and perform together, but it wasn’t until they appeared in a prestigious championship competition that they’ve garnered mainstream attention. When they decided to perform in the US Open Swing Dance Championships, they had no idea that their dance routine would be seen around the world.

Being able to participate in the US Open Swing Dance Championships definitely is an honor and a privilege as it is one of the most, if not the most popular event for swing dancers. That year, there were contestants from 27 different countries. The yearly event has been going on for almost four decades, making it the oldest swing competition in the world.

The dance pair first competed in 2016 and won first place in the young adult category, getting a world championship under their belt.

Both of them are looking fancy and dapper and it’s mostly their footwork that impresses the crowd. The whole performance is definitely high-energy and meticulously choreographed, which was more than enough to win the first prize.

However, their ambitions certainly didn’t stop there.

Alexis and Ryan returned to the competition the following year and they promised to do even better – which they most certainly did!

It was this footage of their second dance at the US Open Swing Dance Championships that went viral on the internet with hundreds of thousands of views across all social media platforms.

Before their performance starts, we hear their voices over the speakers.

โ€œThis is a tribute dance to those that came before us.โ€

Directly after, the first notes of “Fever” by Elvis Presley hit and their performance is simply a must-watch from beginning to end.

You can see that both of them have improved compared to the year before, and their sassy expressions can’t be missed. In the middle of the performance, the music shifts to “Baby Workout” by Jackie Wilson and we see the two teens taking a trip through memory lane as they pay an hommage to all styles of swing dance.

It’s evident that these two are immensely passionate about dancing, and they wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else except for each other. The ending is heartwarming: Alexis and Ryan run towards each other to exchange a big hug.

Once again, Alexis and Ryan won the world championship, and it was well-deserved!
