Shag or also known as “Swing Dance of the South” is a unique but well-loved style of southern dancing.

The dance moves are described as smooth yet quick and has gained popularity in the 1940’s. People added their own twists on the dance, and slowly it evolved to the shag dance that we know today.

It’s definitely considered as a treasured classic- that’s why more and more people are supporting the annual Shag dance competition.
