Teen cringes in embarrassment when mom jumps out of car during traffic jam to dance
Parents are well-known for being embarrassing. Sometimes it may even feel like a parent’s number one job is to embarrass their kids. If that’s breaking out the baby book in front of friends or dancing uncontrollably in the grocery store, you name it, parents do it.
One thing is for certain and that’s the unconditional love parents have for their kids.
Oddly enough those embarrassing moments are remembered as some of the most hilarious times. As for this Colorado mother and son, they’ll be laughing about this memory for the rest of their lives. Traffic can be infuriating, bumper to bumper with nowhere to go.
Now, imagine being stuck on the highway during a snowstorm… That’s about as stuck as it gets.
That’s exactly what mother Wendy Chupp Gossett, her son Nathan, and daughter Jordan were all trapped in. What do you do after hours have gone by and every subject has been spoken about…? You better have a killer playlist to keep you going! As soon as the Backstreet Boys song Everybody (Backstreets Back) came on this Colorado mom grooved on out of the car!
Wendy didn’t let this traffic get her down, in fact, she decided to dance it all out and get her kids smiling again.
She boogied all around her car and even danced in between other stopped cars to lift everyone’s spirits! Meanwhile, Wendy’s son Nathan had both of his ears plugged as he sludged into the passenger seat.
Nathan couldn’t believe how wild his mother was for dancing in the streets.
He even told an interview with Inside Edition
“In my brain, I was trying to block it all out.”
Wendy’s daughter Jordan, on the other hand, seemed to be having a blast recording a video of her dancing mother.
Wendy’s smile is truly contagious as she tries to brighten even the darkest moments, of course, embarrassing her kids in the process.
Little did Wendy know her hilarious traffic dance would go completely viral and having everyone know that she’s certainly the cool mom! Wendy even explained to Inside Edition
“We were having the worst day ever!”
As you watch the video you would never have noticed what an awful day they must have been having. Wendy just gleamed with joy being able to get some fresh air and sing her favorite Backstreet Boys song.
The traffic they got stuck in lasted for 5 hours! How wild is that!?
I’m sure Nathan was just about done watching his mother perform on the snowy highway.
But kudos to Wendy for giving everyone a much-needed laugh!
Sometimes we just need to step out of those stressful situations and dance it all off our shoulders. Now this family made a memory in 5-hour traffic that will last a lifetime. As for Nathan he definitely lightened up after being stuck in the car.
Wendy even went to twitter saying,
https://t.co/czkNQ5hjiC Ironically I am a parenting specialist who teaches parents to "learn" their kids by using temperament psychology. My son LOVES this now!
