Young kids in garage band perform perfect Guns N' Roses cover

With the quarantine measures and stay-at-home orders the past few months, a lot of people have had to deal with a lot of boredom. On the other hand, quarantine does free up a lot of time to do those tasks youâve been procrastinating for a while, finish reading that large book, binge watch a couple of Netflix shows, or just keep on jamming in your garage rock band.
Thatâs exactly what this 14-year-old kid and his band are probably doing. Luckily for us, you can see the result in an amazing video. Just to be clear: this is an older video and was captured before corona times.

While you might think that most teens are mainly busy with electronic music, rock and roll will certainly never die.
This teenâs garage band decided to perform a cover of a Guns Nâ Roses, and they absolutely killed it.

Every musician has to start somewhere, and it certainly isnât uncommon to start in the garage of your parents â whether itâs for a school show rehearsal, or just jamming around and covering some songs. Even though the circumstances clearly arenât ideal for this anymore, thereâs also nothing cooler than opening up your garage doors and giving an impromptu concert for your friends and the neighborhood. As long as you keep the noise down so the neighbors donât start complaining, of course.
Itâs a tradition that has seemingly faded over the years, but just like with most traditions, there are always people out there who will try to keep it alive â and in this case, it was a group of youngsters who wanted to keep the tradition going.

What better way to keep the tradition alive than with a classic Guns Nâ Roses song?
It doesnât get any more rock and roll than this! The title they chose was the classic song of the legendary band, âSweet Child of Mineâ. They couldnât have picked a better song to gather a crowd in the neighborhood, and thatâs exactly what they did.

It didnât take long before the street was getting filled with an audience â pretty impressive for a bunch of teens who are just jamming in their house garage. Itâs a shame weâll have to wait to see more garage concerts until after the end of the pandemic.
As for the performance itself â it was absolutely electrifying and just pure fun to look at. As the crowd started forming, these teens didnât even think about stopping and went on and performed a couple of extra songs.

The impromptu rock concert was definitely appreciated by everyone watching!
The house garage also gives off an authentic and unique vibe, which perfectly fits with the music genre here.
Stratton James is the lead guitarist of the band and was the one who captivated the audience with the âSweet Child of Mineâ intro. You could clearly tell that everyone was completely into it.

The band delivered a surprising performance, and they complemented each other really well. Stratton was definitely the one that grabbed the most attention, but it was clear that this band clicked together.
At the end of the concert, the police even had to show up because the crowd it formed was getting too big.

The video was shot a couple of years ago, and these teens are now approaching adulthood. A lot has changed since then, and sadly, the group disbanded about half a year after this video was shot. Stratton decided to keep pursuing his musical passion for rock and has played in a number of gigs. The now 17-year-old lead singer also loves to write songs and show off his guitar skills â heâs got everything it takes to make it in the music industry.
Definitely check out this amazing garage performance in the video below.
