Young boy first made bowties to help shelter animals – now, he's making masks for health workers
Some people just love to help, the kind-hearted individuals never miss a chance to be there for the others in need. This kid is definitely one of those people. He first made a buzz by making awesome bowties to help shelter dogs find a forever home, so naturally, when COVID-19 hit, the virtuous young man started making face protection masks to help the people on the front lines.

This kid became a social media sensation when he started making doggie bowties at just 12-years-old, now he’s using his fabric to help workers on the frontlines
Sir Darius Brown, now 13-years-old, made his claim to fame by combining his love for bowties and pooches. He started making bowties for dogs in shelters, in order to help them find a forever home.

The impressive kid made his organization, Beaux and Paws when he was just a pre-teen and it took off on social media. Now, the kind-hearted young man is using the fabric he’s stocked up and his talents to help workers on the frontline during this pandemic.

“I have several projects I’m working on for some shelters and rescue groups but I wanted to take some time and create masks for a hospital in need. Here are some masks that I’ve been working on. My goal is to get 50-100 made by this weekend so I can donate them next week. Thank you, mom, for all of your help.” Sir Darius wrote on his Facebook.
Being the helpful kid that he is, Sir Darius immediately got to work when he heard about the shortage of protective masks
Sir Darius jumped on his sowing machine and started pumping out colorful masks, he also wrote an encouraging post on his Facebook page to inspire people during these crazy times.

Sir Darius was able to quickly make 75 masks that will be sent to hospitals in New York and New Jersey

The teenager who is from Newark, New Jersey, is thrilled to be able to help the people in his home state. In an interview with the New York Post, Sir Darius said:
“I was getting so many comments on Instagram saying, ‘Darius, you should start making masks for people. I was getting so many comments on Instagram saying, ‘Darius, you should start making masks for people.”
Back in 2018, Sir Darius even received a letter from Barack Obama for his commendable service to the community
